I still think 3-4-1-2 is not the way to go, we should've scored 7 goals today, Palermo was that bad, but we didn't because of silly passing and desperate shots. It's nice to win again, but it's not good when it's like this. Every 'big' club in Italy won this weekend, and Fiora still have to play, so next week beating Napoli is a must. We just need to show some better attacking play. And this team desperately needs Sneijder.

Troll win. Don't give a shit. Strama shows some balls removing JZ, Cuchu and Milito which separates him from previous managers. Cou and Pereira 90 minutes. Not hugely impressive the either of them but they weren't bad either. Rano probably the man of the match, from a defending and attacking stand-point. The latter point being somewhat sad.

7 hours of sleep in two nights for me so I'm sleeping the rest of the afternoon. And to top it all off imma bob my head to a little of this before crawling into bed:

Rano :Weird match, did his defensive duties, but was our most dangerous crosser. Motm to me
Zanetti :Not good, not bad, defensive great in first half. Little invisible in the second
Gargano :Ran a lot, gave some decent, but mostly bad passes, did cover a lot of ground
Cambiasso :Not his best performance
Pereira :Offensively not good, defensively, decent. Needs more matches
Cou :At least more dangerously then Ricky. And was more dangerously today then Palacio and Milito. He needs to focus on his end passing/shot.
Palacio :Not good enough, always ran to the flanks
Milito :Not good, but better than Palacio.

Guarin : Well to me, he came in with passion, but focussed on winning ground later
Nagatomo :Brought speed, nothing more
Mariga :Return of the Mac! And that's it.


Strama : I liked the way our team started, but it's too damn hard to create chances. Our midfield is too defensive and we lose too much power without Guarin. I liked his boss subs. Subbing Zanetti, Milito and Cambiasso, something I've never witnissed. The play was better than previous matches at least.

I see now that there is no more "the veterans are controling the locker room" bullshit.

Whateve best for the best of the team`s interest will be done. even Ilcapitano and Cuchu would be subbed.

Ofcourse we did not score this game, and thanks to my great great voodoo psychic powers we won, but I think we`ll improve on the short run and start scoring goals again and win.

As first I take the 3 points.

Then what was good in this match?
I saw a team very well organised in the defence. The opponent had no clear goal scoring chance. That's the most important thing at this point of the season. We need points, and what we don't need are games against the "small" teams when they score first. So to not concede a goal was the most important thing today. And the defence did his job. Juan, Samuel and specially Ranocchia were 3 bosses. No chance for the kid Dybala.
I saw Palacio and Coutinho running a lot, the tridente with Milito was not bad at all. The helped defending and they created something, specially in the 2 half they made some promising counter attacks. Coutinho needs in this moment to be a little bit more team-player, he was too selfish in the last minutes at the counter attack. Milito helped defending too, this is something we did not see for a long time.
Gargano run his ass off, he was for me the man of the match, his spirit was very important today and I think he was the key why Palermo could not create any chances through the middle. Cambiasso was, like always, very solid and he has a great vision and he understands the games like no other player I know.
Guarin was the perfect substitution, he gave our game so much power, that was a great move by Stramaccioni.

oh, yes, and that too, the Samuel suspension. maybe that will make Strama go for a 4-3-2-1 or a classic Ranieri 4-4-2 (which I think could work against Napoli)

good points today, the defence and especially Zanetti and Cambi, did their thing at the back. Palermo still had some dangerous chances, but they didn't exploit the wings like some other teams against us did.

didn't see Mariga much, I know he was clumsy with the first ball he got, somebody else tell me more, I just don't remember

and it shows that Guarin must be put higher up the pitch, he is our beast player, Milan has SES, Juve has umm, I don't know, Vidal?, Roma has Osvaldo, Lazio has Hernanes,....
