Inter - Milan

Stam isn´t actually that slow. He´s so big, so people tend to think he is. But if you look at him in duels where he has to run, he is rarely inferiour to his opponent.

Yeah, also because he uses his body strenght to "block" his opponents.

The atmosphere between my brother and I is getting heated. He's very focused on the Man Utd game though, people at work keep telling him that Man Utd will destroy them and he's obviously pissed off about it.

Having lost Sheva, he's hoping to see Crespo and Kaka' up there, without Tomasson, who he really hates (no wonder, he sucks big time!).

I heard the Milan fans explode in joy at the S Siro after Udinese equalised and that just about set me off in a "let's go get Milan" mood.

I was worried that we could do a big favour to Juve by winning, but it's ok now, Milan got them and Juve is playing Roma away a week after the derby, so let's go get the rossoneri, a victory for us is vital.

More news from Gazzetta.it:

- Sheva will be operated tomorrow, a stop of 4 weeks is very likely.

- No fracture for Vieri, just a contusion.

Great news there, I doubt Oba will be ready for Wednesday, but he should at least be on the bench for Milan!

Martins HAS to start this game. Nesta and Maldini handled Adriano and Vieri with ease the last game (even though Bobo had some quality chances). Stam does have good speed for a big man, but it's no contest against Obagol. My guess is that Adriano is gonna partner him, with Vieri having bruised ribs, but we'll just have to wait and see I guess. This week would be a nice time for our strikers to get back on track.

Adriano - #10
Sure having a bigman would help break down Stam and Nesta, but it's pretty obvious that Martins HAS TO START. His speed has been deadly against Milan's slow backline and even though they have managed to keep Adriano at bay in the pass, there is simply no way they could cancel out both Adriano and Martins.

I'm actually starting to get revved up for this game because this is like our last stand, it's either do or die, it's either we dance on the graves of our enemy, or suffer a similar fate. (or unlike real battle end up with a draw, perhaps both teams decimated so much there is no winner :p )

First we have to get past Porto, then let all black and blue hell break loose. :fero:

I think that for every Inter fan out there, the most important game of their lives should be the derby. This is the one game where we put aside form, league table standings and everything else and just simply go out there to battle with your traditional enemy. There's lots of things to be said about this derby, but i must say that i don't feel the usual hesitance toward it.

Ciao,
Tim

The event of the past week have made me very upset and depressed. To describe the feeling I had after being so happy after leading and seeing Milan drawing, only to be crushed at the finish line, is impossible. I haven't felt that bad in a very long time.

Good thing I am not an inter player. Because if i was, i'd attack a milan player before the referee blows a whistle. I don't care about anything this season, I want us to beat them. I will be happier if Juve win their game as well. I want to see Milan trail Juve once again. For the time being, I am hating Milan 100 times more than the Zebra Boyz.

I feel good. Sheva is everything to them. And their already down after midweek loss to Manu. For first time, I'll be cheering for Manu. But hopes about derby are positive. Maybe not scudetto but win would give much strength to CL also.

Kaka is not playing??? I know about Sheva but not about Kaka.

If Sheva is not playing I wouldn't mind if Miha plays, cause he can stop Crespo and Tomasson, and his free kicks can be a useful weapon for this game, so play Burdisso against Porto and Miha against Milan....

I prefer Adriano-Martins for this game, current-level Vieri doesn't have a chance against Stam-Nesta, Martins (pace) does.

Yep, Miha could play. He's worked well with Cordoba. But I wouldn't minf very much if Matrix played. He turns on in derbies. Well let's hope not too much. ;)

What's that Kaka-thing? If he's not playing and Sheva not playing, it takes all the fun of beating them. :D

I'd say, not much hopes seeing burdisso this week, though he has played well in CL. :)

If Kaka doesn't play, then I don't think we would have any other reasons to be scared of Milan. And regarding Cordoba playing with Mihajlovic, it will be quite a good option if Shevchenko really doesn't play, which I don't think he will.

And, BTW, I love your avatar, Tim!!
