Today I was watching ManU - Liverpool, ManU started the game with Rooney, Valencia, Chicharito and Nani all on the bench, I was confused and shocked at the same time. I was like, what is Fergie thinking?! It's a tough away match against your rival and you leave your best players out?! I thought maybe they are all injured but, later they all came in and played!
Despite all those players being on the the bench, ManU still played a solid match, they managed a 1-1 draw and the goal that they conceded was a freekick and a stupid mistake from Giggs.
How could ManU leave all these great players on the bench and still manage to put on a great performance against one of the best teams in EPL, their rival and away from home?!
Watching that game kind of made me think, how if even one of our players gets injured we blame the injury for our loss and act like nothing happened.
It's just the preseason.. our players just got back from WC and they are tired.. we just lost our coach, our best player is injured, and so and so on.
This team is finished, doesn't matter what manager we get. We need fresh blood, we need proven players!
Please spare me the 'we don't have money' and 'FFP' talk. We had enough money to spend on Alvarez didn't we? Banega and Vidal were both cheaper than Alvarez and see how they are performing and how is Alvarez performing!
Also with this performance I don't think we need to worry about FFP since most probably we are not going to make it to CL next year.
Money is only part of the problem, a small part. But we always like to blame something or someone else for our loss rather than ourselves just to feel better! We don't want to admit that we suck!
Our biggest problem is our management and their stupid decisions. Look at our purchases this summer, are they making any contribution to this team? do they have any positive impact? the answer is NO!!
Our management behaves the exact same way that we play football! slow and blames others whenever they lose!
When we want a player first we let the whole world know, so if they weren't interested before, can be interested now! then we haggle for a month and a half, then the player gets bored and joins another club and we just fool ourselves by saying stuff like "yes! he wanted to join the other club from the beginning there was nothing we could've done about it'", then only a week left till transfer window closes so we get whatever we can for a ridiculous price, call it a great mercato, be happy and get on with our stupid lives!
Look at Real Madrid, they bought Sahin out of the blue and before the transfermaket even gets started for only 10 million!
We got Alvarez for 11 mil, Jonathan for 5 mil and Forlan for 5 mil. That's 21 mil we could've spent on one world class midfielder!
Dortmund was asking for 22 million for Gotze!
You say Jonathan and Alvarez are furture investments? well if you don't have enough money to eat today do you start saving up for tomorrow? also, what is our primavera for? isn't it for future?
Inter, the only club that has never been relegated to Serie B. Thanks to our management's great decisions, we are almost there!
