Well, to be fair Skrinar has been so much better than Bonucci this season. It's not even a contest

God, I hope Montella starts Borini and Cutrone against us.

I want an honest opinion from you guys: do you think we will finish above Roma?

Very unlikely. Roma have a better squad that has been outperforming us for a while, and over the whole season their quality should make a difference. The only way we will finish above Roma is if EDF fucks it up, or if Spalletti works out a fucking miracle. We can always hope, but IMO 4th spot is a more realistic target for us. Our rivals this season should be Lazio and Milan, not Juve, Napoli and Roma.

Cut the excuses, every team has weaknesses, Roma even have more than us, Juan Jesus, Bruno Peres, average right wing, no back-up for Dzeko, aging De Rossi, Strootman and Florenzi's injury proneness just to name a few.

Every team has weaknesses. Juve have them. Napoli have them. So do Roma. But Inter have more. We are behind all these 3 teams in the process of rebuilding. The only thing we have got over Roma is Spalletti.

You say they have no back up for Dzeko, but maybe you forget Schick? You say Jesus and Peres makes them worse than us, but are Nagatomo and Ranocchia really better? Come on mate, look at their squad again... unlike us they actually have decent back ups for every role. And their midfield makes them stronger than us.

For Roma the biggest weaknesses are mentality and Europe. They have massive games against Chavski coming up and i do not see Roma getting anything out of those games [ even though i would like Roma to throw Cunte out of the UCL ].I can see them dropping points because of Europe in the next few months.

So squad strength aside i do feel like we can challenge the Romans if we can stay unbeaten against both Milan and Napoli because that will give our squad a massive boost in terms of psychology and mentality.I remember in 2012 Conte got Juve off to an unbeaten start and they grew in confidence as the season progressed even though they drew a lot of games at the start and also did not play particularly dominant football. But as they continued to stay unbeaten that year they grew in confidence and spirit and have not looked back ever since. We need this confidence booster this season. However we lack the squad to suffer and hold out in games and are far more predictable and attack minded to do this.

So i will be in the minority here but i will be elated if we can get 2 points off the next 2 games. But given the lack of grinta in defensive midfield i am sceptical we can avoid defeat in Naples.Milan perhaps can be defeated but i would rather not risk a defeat at this stage of the season.Lets stay steady and unbeaten and play out two stalemates with a midfield of Vecino-Valero-Gagliardini.:trolldad:Will never happen though.

I am glad Milan have not sacked Montella yet and hopefully they derail even more and do not make the UCL next year.A victory over them would go a long way in that but i just do not want to risk a defeat because we are as vulnerable as them at this point of the season give or take a little.

it will be a very close race. they are overall a better team but also have to play champions league. it's 50-50%. at gunpoint, i guess i would say we could make it by 1-2 points.

The amount of pessimism on this thread has rendered me speechless. Inter plays with a character depending to their rival. We played Benevento with the amount we needed and got three points. We did play awfully, but when the last time did we play so pleasing in the eyes? We ain't Barca or Arsenal.

We will fight this Derby as well with the amount of capacity needed to destroy Bbilan. Derby is inherent to winning.

I think Roma, to be perfectly honest, has similar flaws to us. They have had continuity for a while so they will struggle a bit because of a new manager but looking at how they play and looking up and down the line - just like us, they really rely on 1-2 players to break down defences and score based on their individual skill/talent. With the exception of Napoli, really all the top teams in Italy have that issue. Without dybala, juve would be mid-table so far.

still way too early but roma are very dependent on nainggolan and dzeko - just like we are very reliant on perisic and icardi - and juve on dybala. Napoli is the only team that is cohesive and just devastating all-around.

I don't care how we win but we must win this match. First time for me to visit the derby and I hope Inter won't let me down. Personally i think we win 2-1 but because its a derby you can't predict it. Even if we win by an own goal of Bonucci in the 90+3 minute it would be the best game i've ever been.

Perfect scenario for me:

1:0 first half for us. Good goal, nice build up, and Icardi scores. We dominate most od the first 45 minutes.

Second half, the game is balanced, but they have one really good serious chance and miss it. Then arround 83th minute they score a goal, ut is 1:1, they go crazy, they go in a beast mode and put us in danger over and over. Finally it is 89th minute, they score again from a set piece, crowd goes ape shit, but waaaaaait for it, VAR - goal is offside, but a realy close call. So the result is 1:1 again. Late corner for inter, due to Var, we are at the 94th minute. Bonucci own goal.

2:1 for us. The end. Montella is sacked. Bonucci wins the golden whatever for the worst signing. We buy Vidal and Mustafi in January.

Are you referring to Rano ;)? If so, how is this a bad thing?

Should we mourn frogs now?
