After the 2-1 we magically had a great chance with Darmian and then scored. As always we look umotivated to score. We simply were not enough agressive today, again like last years first match against Slavia.

Shakhtar are going to tear us apart. Add their desire for revenge, too...

When it rains, it pours.

Borussia had a penalty and their goal, basically not another dangerous attack. That was it, and they converted both.
First one from a completely stupid piece of play, de vrij fucking up a simple pass and vidal with a stupid tackle.
Second one was a fuck up but a great pass so will give them that.
The team is on a rough spot with these difficult results when we aren't even playing that badly. With all the injuries / covid cases it's tough. It's up to conte and the team to turn this around now against genoa.

Really though, enough is enough. No excsuses anymore for Conte if we dont qualify with these players, being the only Italian team not to win the first game is disgusting considering the other two teams are Atalanta and Lazio. Really embarassing stuff, and I’m expecting more embarrassment.

Click on pictures. Lukaku's goal for 2-2 was correct, their second was offside.

Lukaku’s second goal looks legit to me and I’m not even sure that Bastogne touched the ball. On the other hand, their second goal might be OK as well

I do not want to waste too much of my morning thinking and writing about this morning's performance. Something is really off about the way we are playing.

Right now, I see a lot of parts working on the field but there is no team. I do not want to dwell too much on individual performances but Perisic should not be playing. He is terrible and his presence in the eleven highlights our lack of alternatives. The amount of times he fails to make a quick pass and delays on the ball is ridiculous. From game to game, he offers next to nothing and his inclusion in the eleven is a painful reminder of our failed attempts to get rid of him and find a player that can actually make a contribution. I hate how we are stuck with him and numerous other shit players.

Speaking of hate, I cannot stand Kolorov for the same reasons I have provided above regarding Perisic. He too is a symbol of our failures to adequately recruit and his arrival at Inter is simply down to Conte. Seeing him in the eleven pisses me off and he has only played a handful of games. I am not sure what Sanchez did in the first half. Actually, that applies to most of the team in the first half. I can not understand why we were content to stroke the ball around our own half for the first 45 minutes of the game. And the worst part about the first half is that BM were absolutely mediocre. They were complete shit going forward and sabotaged most of their own forays forward but somehow we manage to drop points to them at home.

I have supported Conte up until this point, but right now, all I see is a coach whose team is presently displaying a complete lack of dynamism and who has very little idea about how to change things because he is has locked himself into doing things one way with some really shit player acquisitions to compound his lack of tactical acumen.

This team is a joke. Acquiring experienced players during the summer was an excuse to be cheap and an indication of where our ambitions lie. Anyone who thinks we have the strongest squad in Serie A is absolutely kidding themselves. And even if we do have the strongest squad that counts for very little when Conte has no tactical flexibility. We may have changed the edges of our playing squad but the nucleus is much the same: shit with little substance, much like this morning's performance.

To add insult to injury, that touch which should have definitely put Hoffmann offside, ended up taking just enough off of the pass to make it sit perfectly for him

Nothing going our way at the moment, just have to fight through.

Exactly. His slight contact was precisely what made the pass perfect. If the ref in the VAR room (who was the ref for our final vs Sevilla) had any doubts if he touched the ball or not, he should've judged it by the change of trajectory.

It's so clear that he touches the ball. If he's not sure about that he should get his fucking eyes checked.

Che that image just looks as clear. He looks offside.

I love Vidal's grinta but he's such an idiot at times, should never ever rush to tackle hard a player like that inside the box unless he has a clear cut chance, and even then it would be best to try to put him off without touching him. Guy was surrounded by players too, wtf was he thinking?

Also can anybody explain why we let Godin go just to play fullbacks as CBs? Honest question, wasn't following much.

Our defense has been abysmal. It’s practically like a whore just waiting to be fucked.
