Arguably the most likely scenario, given how things currently stand (status quo).

Man, I hate playing the downer on FIF. How can it be that so very many of you love it so very much?

What do you mean? Downer is the real essence of life, living experiences.

Wheres the fun if it's just success after success every season?

Why would anyone follow Inter if they like succeeding and glory?

Half the people here are fans of masochism. They are just too ashamed to say it.

Also dont forget that the whole Italy will be cheering for us aside Roma and Lazio.

The Rome clubs each want Inter to win so the other one finishes 5th.

I don't want EDF in CL and his non bunker Roma and then conceding 5 goals because he is a moron...playing like that against one of the best attacking teams around...what a stupid coach.
I hope that this game destroyed their confidence and they lose some more points in Serie A and we get there...I like Lazio's football in the league more...tbh

Inter - Juventus, Moratti: "The victory only counts for Inter and its ranking. I trust Spalletti"

The Derby d'Italia is a game that is never like the others. This Saturday evening's might be even worth more with the current league standards. The Nerazzurri are still after a Champions League spot while the Bianconeri want to keep their leadership and the one point that keeps them ahead of Napoli. Massimo Moratti, historical Inter president, has talked to Il Corriere dello Sport ahead of the game:

"We're only four games away from the end of the season, with Juventus ahead of Napoli by one point and Inter at the fifth position with one point less than Roma and Lazio, so the game will be really important for both teams. They have big objectives and need the win. Juventus remains a great team even if they only have a one point advantage, so they have to be faced playing well. If Inter would win, I'm not saying it would be an easy run towards Champions League but it would be easier for sure".

According to Moratti, it might not be one of the pitch actors to be decisive for Inter to win but rather Luciano Spalletti:

"At the moment, I think Inter is really well, they've shown it in the last games even if the results haven't always been there. The wins against Cagliari and Chievo have been really important, but the Champions League race will only get decided in the last game. Who'll be decisive against Juve? I trust Spalletti, he's a great coach and I hope he shows it again one more time. I'm sure the players know how important for the club reaching the Champions League is and how games like this one against Juve matter to the fans. Would a win mean complicate Juve's way to the Scudetto? The victory only counts for Inter and for its ranking. This is the only thing that matters".

In the end Moratti has talked about some of his memories regarding the Derby d'Italia:

"During the Triplete season, the 2-0 at San Siro was a really great win that allowed us to get back at the first position. If I had to choose one of the games between Inter and Juve I'd say a 6-0 from when I was a child, during the 1953/1954 season. Winning like this against Juve was something special for a young fan".

I agree with Moratti about that 2-0 win in 2010. It's my favourite Derby D'Italia at Meazza.

I can't describe how happy I would be if we fucked Juventus's scudetto dreams. It's like our forte, we may not have our plans pan out, but we will surely screw others plans as well.

FORZA INTER!

Defeating Juve on Saturday will send a clear message that Inter is back. Spalletti was able to defeat roma in an away game and and he is defintely able to do that again with Juve at home.

Incredible development at Rube training centre: Fans pissed off after Napoli defeat demanding a delegation of Rube players to come talk to them...

Looking forward to this match. Clean sheet, goals by Mauro Icardi and Milan Skriniar, 2-0 win. I hope Cancelo destroys that right wing.

Borja possibly out.

Borja Valero is in doubt for Saturday’s Derby d’Italia clash with Juventus after leaving training early today.

The former Fiorentina midfielder had been in the starting XI for the 2-1 victory away to Chievo at the weekend.

According to Mediaset Premium, Borja Valero did not take part in this afternoon’s session after coming down with a stomach bug.

If he isn’t fit to start, then Matias Vecino is expected to get the nod instead.

It’s a potential problem, seeing as Roberto Gagliardini is also out injured for the next month and therefore midfield options are limited.

Brozovic probably put something in Valero's water after being forced to cover all that ground versus Chievo.

Borja possibly out.

Looking forward to the FIF posts of people celebrating this despite the fact that it would leave Inter totally fucked in MF.
