^ The font is nice. I think the dark blue/grey font goes well with the off-white/light grey colour of the shirt. If you look closely, there's also a shiny silver lining on the outline of numbers which looks really nice.
I also really like the yellow strip down the center of the back.
However, I still think the front of the shirt is a mess.
Look at it from this angle: broad Nike template > Nike third kit template > Inter 3rd kit
The broad Nike template is the raglan shirt. Here's our home jersey.
As you can see I've marked the defining features of the template of the broad Nike template for this year. 1 refers to the separation of the center of the shirt and the sleeves. All the stripes or patterns fall within the center of the shirt and don't extend to the shoulders. 2 is the solid colour shoulders. 3 is the little strip down the center of the back. And 4 is the subtle dot pattern running down the shoulder/sleeves. (you can't see it very well on our home jersey, but it's more noticeable on our 3rd)
I actually like this broad template a lot. I like having the shoulders in full black as it draws more focus to the center of the shirt. I like the strip down the back (looks especially good on our away and third kit). And I like the subtle dot pattern on the shoulders.
Within that concept though, is a sub-concept if you will, for Nike's 3rd kits. Seems like this year, their concept is a map of the city. I think this is risky to say the least. For us though, in addition to the map concept, they've also added BOTH the cross concept, AND the fucking marble concept. The end result IMO is simply way too much. If they'd just picked ONE fucking concept, the map or the cross or the marble, it would've been far better than this combination of all 3. Even if they just took the Pirelli logo, made it the same color as the Nike logo, made it small and put it to the side, like in 07/08, it would've been much more neat. But I have honestly nothing good to say about the front of that 3rd shirt. The back? Love it. The front is number one bullshit though.
