I can't recall if I watched more than 180 minutes of Getafe play this season. Definitel catched a game or two earlier in the season as I have La Liga with my tv provider (also German and French leagues from the big ones) but hardly paid any attention to them. Cannot name more than 2 players of theirs. I don't know if they deserve to be here, but for fuck's sake, I hope they don't get to deserve to be in the following round. It's a must win and it's going to be a taint in our history if we fail to beat them.
It's one thing for us fans to remember shit group games like Hapoel Beer She'va or a qualifier like Helsinborg and it's another to fail to win against a Spanish minnow in a season where you are expected to at least reach the final, especially after the draw.
I am expecting us to reach the final. Anything less will be disappointing. And I fully expect once there, that we must also win it. That's the only thing that can make this season worthwhile and hopefully it pushes for a strong momentum moving on.
P.S: If we fail to win here and get disqualified, we are relying on Juventus, Atalanta, Roma and Napoli to get some extra points for Italy so that we aren't stuck on 32 coeff points which could very well see us in Pot 4 in the champions League as we'll need at least 3 teams that are lower on us in the coeff standings to come through. And you don't want to see the list of clubs with lower coeffs than us that are challenging for the CL ticket and who they'll be up against.
We definitely need to secure a place in the semis so that we have no concerns about ending up in Pot 4.
I am expecting a big win, but any win is welcome. I don't want to see another Slavia or Barcelona B case.
