Oh, if I may, Fiorentina looked good. I’d they keep same players, I won’t be surprised if they seriously challenge for CL spot this year.
This win was important. Important teams gonna lose points against this Fio side.

Right? I swear, I don't think there is any coach in the world who would get praise here any longer unless every game for the full season you get 20 chances, opponents get 1 and we win by 4 - 0.

Wow, so much insight after only 1 game. Please, do tell me more oh wise one how this season will end!

...

My observation would be this. We played incredibly offensive during this match. 68% possesion, 15 shots to like 7. Often times we had 4-5 players at their goal line. Fiora countered us well, we had trouble with deffending those, but that's the risk. It's clear Conte wants us to play even higher and more offensive than last year. Seeing our offensive power, it's not suprising, and that's the reason for those side defenders. He admited that in the interview. It will take time to get to this new way of playing.

I saw some comments about changing the back 3 formation. Why? Didn't we get the best defensive record last year? And we still had bad games. It's a long season, you cannot have perfect games all around. We have to keep perspective. I'd like us to be more secure, but games like that happen and it will get better with time. If you guys think Conte will suddenly change, you are out of your mind. When we were chasing the goals btw, it looked more like 2413, as Hakimi and Kolarov were pushing very much forward. So it was more like 3412 with a defender switched to a forward and I don't think we can play like that every match.

With that being said, lets also remind ourselves that we were missing De Vrij and also the other first team RCB as Dambrosio will not be that one. On top of that, Bastoni played in De Vrij position and I think he might still need more experience to play there. So to sum up, we played with 2 backups there and Bastoni not in his usual position. Obviously it will not look as tight as it will be. It looked bad, but Fiora also conceded 4 goals and we had other chances too like Lukakus, Perisic...

Eriksen was unfortunetly closer to his first run. You could immidiately see the difference when Sensi came on and how much accurate passing and doing some magic that actually mostly works than not instead of the other way around is important. Won't be suprised if Erikesn will get benched soon if he will not step up and Sensi will put more displays like that and stay helthy. Also, Brozo with Sensi can coexist as they showed last season. Eriksen with Brozo though, not so much. We need Eriksen in top form and I hope he will get there. There will be a lot more matches to prove that.

Last shout to Vidal who showed a lot of experience and his stamp at the later parts of the match.

Throughout the season we get great games, and poor games. Every team does. What matters is how it ends not the individual matches.[/QUOTE]

1 Game :dielaugh::dielaugh:.....only ahahahahaha

I like the mantra at the end as well, award winning material there, im a leave the expert analysis to u sir i cant argue with supreme wisdom

No no, you're the wisest one as we saw above. Already shiting on us after the first match of the season out of around 50-60 games that are coming our way.

Keep spreading the word dude. You're doing great

side note: Dragowski always turns up big time against us-- he was huge tonight. But he looks pretty average whenever else I see him play.

Dude must hate inter

Was a really good game, sure we made some mistakes but we've barely had a break let alone a pre-season. With such depth in the squad depending how our mercato ends is very scary, I hope everyone who played tonight stays with us, hope that of Skriniar too.

I thought Kolarov was quite tidy and I also feel he played for the team, Hakimi looked like a real baller when he came one, we saw the Sensi we loved at the start of last season, Eriksen was rusty, he hasn't played much in 9 months, Lukaku attitude to his performance doesn't match, Bastoni is the real fucking deal bois he is our future in defence, saw glimpses of Martinez pre barcelona mind fuck.. Vidal and Naingollan coming on together gave me goosebumps. Sanchez changed the game when he came on, I feel bad that he sits on the bench but it just shows the talent in our squad.

3 points people, 3 points.

You know what else impressed me today?! The calmness after we got the 4-3 lead. We didn’t choke. We didn’t panic. We comfortably played the ball around for the 4 minutes extra time. We don’t have many of those. No panic attack for the extra times. Not bad.

I’d like to thank Iachini for bringing on Vlahovic who proceeded to miss 2 glorious chances and got beat by a guy 4 inches smaller than him to the game winning header. Good stuff.

We generally looked good going forward. Hakimi is gonna add a different dimension to our attack. Great attacking instincts and fast af. Our back 3 was a nightmare unsurprisingly. It’ll be good to have de Vrij back. I’m not sure where Kolarov is gonna fit in here. He sucks defensively and is too old to play WB. All in all, good to have football back with a typical Inter performance.

Considering how poor our right flank was in both offence and defence, it's ludicrous that Hakimi didn't start. Hopefully Conte learns his fucken lesson.

Don't get your hopes up. Conte is not gonna "rush" him up. Needs a full season to adjust to the mighty Italian league. Till then, there is Young, DDA, Darmian, and even Perisic to mentor and replace him in the starting line up.

I'm very surprised that the midfield Conte used for this one, is the one i see in all the fantasy teams in Instagram or stuff like that, the one most of us were dreaming about with Brozo-Vidal / Barella-N9 / Eriksen-Sensi. I honestly expected Gagliardini to play.

Don't worry. Conte rest Gagliardinho for mighty Benevento. :eek:blivious:

Great observation, except for Vidal part. What I saw both Vidal and Nainggolan a.k.a the gangster team only provide muscles. They basically doing nothing in terms of attacking building, unlike Broz and Barella who were doing pretty well in moving the ball. Perhaps Vidal-barella or Nainggolan-Broz as double pivot will be more balance and complementary to support Sensi/Eriksen.

In terms of defending, it was shit but understandable because we were really offensive. Thats what you get if you deploy 2 wb as side CB. even the center CB is a side CB like Bastoni who is a bit more offensive. Like you said, Conte admitted this that we were not balanced so he knows this is something needs to be work on.

Once Sensi coming in, I immediately had flashback to how silky he was in the ball. So effortless and tricky. I think many people here would agree if Eriksen should be benched for him.

Well, we got the points but the game was far from convincing. First of all, it's obvious that Conte should have started with Skriniar in the centre and use Bastoni instead of Kolarov as LCB. D'Ambrosio is fine, even though he got outplayed major times against Ribery, we cannot blame him at all.

Ribery is still kicking ass. He cannot play at high tempo for 90 mins, but as for a limited amount of time, he can be deadly against any opponent though. I remember him outplaying even the best defenders of the league. But the problem is in team's approach in overall. Our defence was too slow and there was almost no communication between midfield and defence. We have been too vulnerable major times.

Again, it's very important that we won, but this is far from what we were supposed to see from this team. We have plenty of quality, but the right setup is missing and I hope Conte is gonna figure it out ASAP.

Alexis, Hakim and Vidal have to play as starters, no excuse.

Maybe I'm role playing too much but I wonder if Conte wanted to start Perisic and young for motivation reasons. Perisic back with us... bit of a weird situation, give him a start to show faith in him. Young did very well for us last season, an older player but he put his heart and soul in so show faith in him too. I think young deserved to start, only thing I'd have done different is bring hakimi in 10-15 mins earlier at least

we learned some important lessons last night - the key thing is they actually get learned.

Bastoni shouldnt be the CB in a three at the back. You need an experienced leader who can marshal the defense. He has the ball playing skills, but you need someone far more experienced. Skriniar or De Vrij IMHO only. Frog if he stays.

Hakimi was great. Needs to start. Perisic was average at best, tbh, which is fairly typical perisic. He's just up and down but offers often quite little impact reallly. Barella hasnt learned shit in the off season, you cant afford to get booked in the 7th minute you fucking twozzle.

great emotions, in the most classic pazza Inter fashion. needless to say, if we always played like this it would be very hard to even qualify for champions league.
