Cambiasso; Adri
I think Grosso just secured the LB spot for good today. Cambiasso was fantastic, Mariano,Toldo and Samuell surprised me, Cordoba was more solid than usual as captain, Bonucci was fantastic. And Bonucci gave a surprisingly assured performance. All in all a straightforward win and half of these players should play against Fiorentina

Anyone else see Materazzi, Andreolli, and Orlandoni in the stands for this game? Now that is commitment people.

Overall the game was basically finished after the Cambiasso goal and PK miss. Mariano and Bonucci gave some good displays as well as the usual efficient and at times spectacular play from Cambiasso. Solari and Figo were almost nonexistent in this game. This game was not played at a frenetic pace or anything and we should have expected Figo to have much more of an impact than he actually did.

The only thing that worried me was Crespo's lack of involvement. Most of the time he was very isolated and hardly ever got the ball. Hopefully it was the lack of a true support striker and overall lack of balls to him that affected his play.

I still think we will most likely see the Adriano (if fit) and Zlatan dup up against Fiorentina on the weekend.

Lol Grosso Or Maxwell? excellent goal by grosso, honestly both are great, its jus good to see them both back to their form,we will see what mancini does,i also wouldnt rule out an LB-LM duo between both of them in some matches, they would own that flank, damn its nice to have some good LBs after a decade of poor ones.

I don't think Cordoba has to prove to us again what he's capable of but he has been shaky lately. Boy if only one of Materazzi and Samuel had his pace, then we'd have a incredible central duo, but unfortunately our two best defenders just aren't capable of playing toghether, it's sort of like the inability to play two playmakers in the one team.

Just seen the highlights on Inter.it, and I must say, damn what a bomb by Grosso... Great goal indeed... It would be interesting to see how they will fight with Maxwell for the LB spot...

Btw, Bonucci is MOTM according to votes on Inter.it..:D

Javier Zanetti,
I wasn't worried about Crespos lack of involvement, because thats what he does basically. He'll be out for 89 minutes of the game and BAM, goal in the 90th.

imo Burdisso is the most reliable defender at the moment.Since he breaked into the first team he made no mistakes.Burdisso has good positioning and good interception so pace is not necissity for him.he commits fewer fouls than any other our defender.also Burdisso is a good goalscorer in set piece attacking
