Something doesnt seem right about this game. Both Mancini and Moratti's comments on inter.it seem to point to the fact that they would be content with a draw. For what reason I dont understand, for us to have any chance at qualifying winning all our games at home is a must. Now I see Mancini's comments about hoping to contain Bayern and make sure they dont get near our goal, the goal will come later??

Maybe I am reading to much into it but it seems like a very poor attitude to be going into one of the biggest games of our CL group. :(

Javier Zanetti,
Cuper said to get out the group phases you need atleast 10 points. With that mathematics and logic in mind, I am not on panic mode. I may however sink into sheer dimentia if we do not atleast get a point from this game. We have a pretty good track record against German sides, and with the right attitude we can beat Bayern, but it's going to be tight.

Why do we always put pressure on ourselves? We should've dismantled Lisbon, but we are Inter and now we must scramble for every point. If we had won the Lisbon game I would've been satisfied with a draw, now. We need to take points away from an equally skilled team. Bayern and us could've played for a cool, calm boring draw and not over extend.

Now we have to crush them........ FORZAAAAAA INTER!!!!!

The first obj here is not to loose on home ground
The second try to win but try not to get goal.

This game must not be lost all other can be. But i demand win on home ground.

I prefer this lineup for this match:

Toldo (Who am I kidding?)

Zanetti - Cordoba - Samuel - Grosso

Mariano - Dacourt - Stankovic

Figo

Ibrahimovic - Crespo

Got a feeling Zanetti will play in midfield and Maicon will play though.

--------------------------Toldo

Zanetti----------Cordoba---------Materazzi-------Grosso

------------------Dacourt--------Stankovic
Mariano-------------------------------------------Figo

------------------Ibrahimovic-------Crespo

I know that I'll be dreaming if I think that Toldone will be the goalkeeper but.. let's hope Bastian won't own JC with a 40m shot and embarrass us while the whole world will be watching us today.

And please no Adriano.

Cesar
Jz-Matrix-Cafe-Grosso
Deki-Dacourt-Mariano
Figo

It will be either Mariano or Solari , solari should get some time after his good perfromance against Chievo and im not going to put maicon in either but i know he will play :( his defensive skills suck and he trys to much in Attack hes not a great player yet

Sagnol and Lahm are two amazing full-backs that can go forward and become dangerous. We have to pin Figo against the better of the two full-backs, which is Lahm IMO.

So, Figo should be the RW and either Mariano or Solari (but please more effort than Chievo game) should be the LW.

Felix Magath laughed off Inter’s challenge for tonight’s Champions League encounter, stating that the Nerazzurri are not a team as much as Milan are.

“We don’t have the obligation to win, having already defeated Spartak Moscow in the first match. We are calm, the pressure will be all for Inter.

“Milan would give us more concern, they have squad mechanisms which are automatic now. Inter instead, even though they have strengthened the squad from last season with the new purchases, it’s still not a gelled squad.

“That’s why we don’t fear them and on the contrary, we shall try to take advantage of this.”

Bayern Munich won the first match 4-0 against Spartak Moscow, whereas Inter lost 1-0 against Sporting Lisbon.

.............................................

Well, he might be true on this for sure. Anywaz, I guess he's also playing mind game here. Wouldn't it be great to score tons of goals against his team (not conceding though:D).

EDIT: Or was his interview exaggerated ?

I agree with MasterZen, we must not lose this game, and if we draw at least make it 0 - 0, so we can get goal advantage if we score in Munich. It will not be dramatic if we don't win this game, we can get 6 points against Spartak and 3 more when Sporting visits us.

The main question will be, in which place we will be when we get to the final round in Munich? That will be a decisive game (if we don't win today) not this one.

This being said, Bayern is a good team but honestly I think our team is better so I hope we have a good day and can get this victory.

About Felix Magath, that was a bit below the belt, but maybe that's the just his style, no class.

Magath is spot on! It is never good to field 1000 new players every god damn season. By doing so you lose your cohesion and therefore lack a team spirit which is a huge disadvantage for us even before we start the season. Most other top teams that perhaps field 2 or a max number of 3 players in their starting 11 have surely an upper hand against us.

So yeah, to recuperate, I too would be more scared of Milan than us. That said we could still spank their ass back to Munich tonight, however the painful fact of bunch of new faces in our starting 11 would still remain.

Magath has a spot but he is idiot!

I hate coaches or players when they talk like that before match.
I don't care if we play aginst bayern or seria c1 team, coach job is to RESPECT every team on earth.no matter is it big or small club you aren't supossed to say that
Cause once you will lose against that team ,and you will become one stupid man and will lose a lot of your reputation, and next time when he has an interview, and says something, ppl will say he is a idiot

yeah me too i hate coaches who talk big before games as the most important thing is to win on the field but i agree with him they are more serene than us if we lose then all hell will break lose like what happened on the sporting game.we have the quality to beat them and im sure curva nord will push our players to their very best remember roma game when we were 2 down so what im saying inter are great at san siro and germans have bad record on italian soil.we have the thrump card in grosso im sure he will torment them.inter to win.

Great that you mentioned Willy and Philipp.

They faced Italy in the WC, and Grosso won the battle with Sagnol.

Lahm faced Zambrotta (and got owned by Gianluca), so only if Zanetti plays as RB, we should not worry about him.

What worries me more, is the midfield. Bayern's midfield can run the match.

And one of the few things we should be happy about is Bayern's big defenders. Lucio and Van Buyten will be in a huge trouble facing Zlatan's skills.

Obviously it's not ideal but if your team/squad wasn't good enough the previous season these are the steps you must take.

We had to improve our team since it just wasn't good enough last term. Obviously it will take time for the team to gell as a whole but still think this side has enough individual quality to compensate for that disadvantage.
