Hakan - played poorly, there were no good cutting passes from him, no good shots
Asllani - played little time, did not have time to prove himself

Hakan will get shape, I don't think we need to worry.

Plus I think in a couple months we'll have Barella-Frattesi-Samardzic starting trio.

In past seasons he’s arguably been our worst player in the opening rounds. Admittedly all our midfield always look sluggish when the season kicks off.

And that is a huge problem. Last season, it took them two months to get going and by that early stage of the season we were already out of the hunt for the Scudetto.

If the team wants to compete for the Championship, it needs to be switched on from the first round and ensure that it will not accept poor results or offer any excuses.

The last thing we need is to hear are those all too familiar quotes from last season:

"We gave our all but it wasn't enough".
"We're disappointed with the result but looking forward to next week".
"The Championship is long. We still have time".
"We deserved more from the game against ... (insert relevant team)"

For me, that was the saddest part about last season. Nothing but excuses were offered and we had no choice other than to accept what happened in the Championship because we were so far off the pace.

Having a culture that accepts and provides excuses is a sure sign that the team is not prepared to make consistent winning a priority and habit.

Frattesi is a waste there. Samardzic could work, but he could be huge liability in defense. Asllani spent a season mastering that position, so he should be able to fill the gap.

and im quite sure one main thing in selling Brozo was to build up Asllani, as he can have a high value, while Brozo already was on a downfall mainly because of age and lifestyle

Cuadrado was always good to great except last season. But people were always biased against him, "only play good versus Inter", as he is a cunt, which I fully agreed

At his top he is a true difference maker. Very smart and very technical.

The money grab trip to Japan this year probably threw the ability to for other matches that logistically probably take at least a year in advance to schedule.

Yeah but even in Japan I feel like we should have played at least one more match. The other big teams that went played 3 friendlies. Making that trip for 2 doesn’t seem like a good use of time.
