I want to buy a monkey...Actually I'd prefer a chimpanzee!!

I know it may sound crazy and wicked, but I've always dreamt of having this monkey friend..A real chimpanze.. I just love them..

So, do you know when, where and how can I get(buy) a baby chimp..???
All I know is that the price would be around 50 000 Euros..(is it true??)

OK, the price may not be that high.. I just read it on some forum..

I would maybe give 3 000 Euros for a Chimp, not more, and not now.. (because I don't have that money yet).. But I'm thinking about, 2,3 years time.

In addition of the money that you would have to spend to buy one, you have to consider the money, time and dedication involved.

If you buy a young one then you have to play with him, maybe feed him directly (milk). And you must have a big house, preferably with a garden. If you buy an older one he could hurt you (chimps are very strong). So you better have a lot of money to spend.

I think its legal in some countries and illegal in others, so you have to start there, maybe some animal associations or pet shops could tell you this and give you an accurate estimate on the price.

From personal experience, I'd advice you against owning a moneky as a pet, no matter how cute and innocent they seem.

1) When I was a kid, a friend of mine got a nice little monkey. That was well and good, until the little creature started sneaking out in the night and going to neighbour's houses, stealing and breaking their windows. The people in the neighbourhood thougth there was a new bad thief, until the monkey was caught red-handed

2) One guy got a monkey that was a bit older (I don't know, maybe 4-5, not sure.) The monkey was good until a while later he started acting crazy and hyper. So it was figured out that it was mating time for him, so the guy got him a female moneky. Which was fine, until the horney farker started wacking the female in front of the guy's kids and stunned guests Sadly I didn't witness the horror show
