I am sorry, but if you did actually recieve big offers for Calhanoglu - and I assume we're talking the 40-50 million from the Arabs - you should've absolutely taken that and kept Brozovic. I know there's the element of timing, and reportedly the offers came later on in the window, but even then, hurrying to whore out Brozovic at almost any cost was idiotic on face-value then, and it seems more even idiotic if you could've gotten more than double for a player that occupies the same role and is only one year younger in what would have been the same transfer window.

Idiotic.

He's talking about three PL clubs that Hakan probably didn't want to go to.

Wasn't Brozović the player that was apparently injured and was saving himself for the World Cup? Sure, he wasn't the only player in Europe to do that, but I know Brozo was surely one of those.

Ofc after the world cup he was still injured, to a degree, and he just couldn't get back to his older self.

That could've caused a rift and made the club to decide that maybe it's time to sell Brozo, especially when Saudi club started asking for players. Internazionale saying NO to selling Barella, Bastoni and Hakan no matter the transfer fee tells me a lot about who we seem as the players to carry us towards more trophies.

Last season was the worst season for Brozović in a whole and seeing how well Hakan did, it was clear that this was the first time we could sell Brozović and have a replacement already lined up.

So I'm on the side of the management for this one. If Brozović was only prepared to go to the Saudis, it seems he was convinced before this summer. At least it seems like that to me.

They aren’t saying no to a fee no matter what, let’s not kid ourselves. The fee either came too late for the club to consider it, as it didn’t leave enough time to find a proper replacement or it simply wasn’t meeting the clubs demand.

The valuation of Barella, Martinez and Bastoni are either nearing or above 100m and such offer has simply yet to arrive on the desk. Those it’s easy saying no matter what, all these will be sold if an offer arrives that meet the clubs request, Zhang will be a guarantee for that, don’t have any doubt about that.

Hakan offer arrived so late the club fundamentally where not left with enough time, 35-50m simply isn’t worth the gamble to sell him that late.

This is a hypothesis that Inter fans won't be willing to consider any time soon.

Couple of years back I would have never even compared Brozo with Hakan, never mind considering Hakan anywhere near Brozo. He really upped his game and delivered since joining us and he is simply indispensable. He changed his game completely though and playing as a deep lying playmaker is really miles ahead of his attacking midfielder role. Wish he would shoot more and find his old free kick accuracy.
Hakan is a big big part of our game now and remember he joined us for free while Bilan fans were celebrating.

He is not the fastest or the strongest, he was considered lazy but if you check stats for us he actually runs a lot.
He is just smart and adapted really well or maybe he just found his home.

So far, selling Brozović wasn't a mistake. The act of selling, not the transfer fee, that's a different story.

Hakan and Lautaro are our best players so far.

That penalty was neccesory for him in order to boost his confidence and mativation
In the next match, we need a motivated Hakan who is gonna fuck his formar team

At the press conference, Inzaghi confirms Calhanoglu is the first penalty taker, followed by Lauti, Arna and Alexis. I thought Dimarco would have been on the list too but seeing how early he gets subbed off every game, maybe it's not worth planning around him.

Lauti is on good run for top goalscorer, wouldn't be bad if he is 1st choice for penalties. Those 4-5 extra goals from pens could be crucial in the final standing.

I agree but only in games where we have 2 goals lead. Lautaro is not so reliable as Hakan.

You play a certain way, it's easier to get penalties. It's not the first season Milan players are the penalty-getting kings.

Yeah, also helps that referees are making massive mistakes when giving those penalties. One of those was suspended for a month after giving Milan a penalty.
