I wouldn't assume all the sources that mentioned this deal were bullshitting though. We had turkey, germany and italian sources being on the same page at certain points. Even biasin who practically lives in ausilio basement was firmly on the board regarding hakan-bayern connections

What I assume happened though, and this is only my theory, given hakans healthy dose of ego he quickly figured bayern is using him as a bargaining chip to get palhinha, and he took it personally as people would say and everything fell apart...

There no smoke without fire. In this case I think it’s certain there where some truth in the matter.

It’s nice he tries to put it to the rest, but I think we should be careful about thinking it equals that it somehow equals that he will stay in the end or that he will refuse BM if they come at a later point… Players say so much bs these days that I simply stopped believing much of anything they say, especially when it comes to loyalty declarations.

Also it’s unclear at this point if Bayern withdraw their interest or not, if so it’s a free lunch stating such things

People need to stop treating every media speculation like gospel. There is no way in hell he is so naive as to ask for an 8mil wage…
If he really wants a payday, he’ll just leave. Maybe in a year, if it’s still going well, he might want a Barella like salary or slightly better, and we might give it to him. But there’s no way he’s staying put if his aim is to make the most money possible.

one thing though that FIF seems to not get is, better to sell at a high and worry about a replacement, than suffering elsewhere.

The list of plaeyrs that fif thought we could not replace:

- Lukaku
- Icardi
- Onana
- Hakimi
- Skriniar
- Handanovic (when on peak)
- Brozovic

Just chill guys, we will find a way

To go somewhere usually requires that someone actually want you, you can say many things about Hakan but sought after isn’t really one of those things. It’s not like he can pick and choose where he wants to go.

Also who said he asked for it, perhaps it was just what was offered. while 8m is a high salary for Inter it’s not for the financial top. There far worse players receiving thar sum in those teams.

If he went to BM as I stated earlier it was for trying playing for one of the historical most prestigious clubs that is often in the race for CL and the biggest team in his birth country, something he himself said he dreamed of playing for one day.

The wage would be icing on the cake so to speak

Calhanoglu shut down at least some of the discussion by insisting he was “extremely happy” at Inter and had no intention of leaving.
This was met with joy and gratitude from the Curva Nord group of ultras, who published an Instagram Story.

“Hakan Calhanoglu, we knew what kind of a person who were and today we got the confirmation! Unlike others who followed the God of Money, you chose the love of your people and those colours you feel are yours!

Actions always come ahead of words. Now that you are with us… you will burst the net… Idol!”
Another dig at Lukaku?

my favorite thing about him are these types of hits. It’s so satisfying to watch when he makes perfect contact with the ball

Yea, incredible execution, but I still find it weird how he hasn't scored a freekick yet. In fact, he's gotten so bad at them these days, he's had like a few good attempts.

I think it's more about mental aspect. Slightly similar to PK's, but of course not at the same extent of nervousness.

Bayern just dropped 60m on some no body that plays for Fulham….. yet some of us thought we can’t get 40-50 for Hakan….

Still some Arab team offers 100+ then sell him

What are we doing to guys this preseason? All the 30+ guys can’t handle it. Absolute elder abuse.

Don't have one.
It was probably a nightmare to prepare this preseason for inzaghi and staff. On one hand you gotta have the usual intensity during the preseason to prepare well, on the other hand players are overplayed because of euros and long season before that. Inzaghi himself ain't a one who rotates much, so there is that as well. Hopefully all this doesn't bite us in the ass next season.
