I like when a team play like a nice football, good for the eyes like holland plays in these two matches. In the past holland had great teams but not the mentality in the big matches and for that reason not won anything just rescpect fot play "cool" but in this case can see a team with another mentality because when france push to them in the second half holland find the way for end the match and kill all french hopes, i want see them in the quarters.....

Good work Van basten.

Two very nice games today.
Sadly Italy only drew but they had a good game and i hope we now beat France to go on to the quaters.

And Holland what can i say they ve played great so far van basten made all the critics shout up.

And i think we clarly saw that domenech is a complete fool I mean the defence was soo slow and bad organised and Domenech leaves Mexes at home how stupid can a man be??

It was indeed beautiful to watch the Dutch team play.
The class of Sneijder, Van Der Vaart, RVN, Robben!!, simply amazing.
Robben is such a good player, if only he can keep himself fit for a couple of games.

And I dont know why the Italians are crying about the refs. That goal was just marginally onside. Its so hard for the linesmen in this situation. If they were good enough, they should have beaten Romania anyways.

I think the dutch might loose to Romania. They have nothing to play for. And they might wanna knock off two of the favourites for the title.

What a performance from Holland. They're on fire and won the group. So it's likely that they will rest most of their players next game and Romania will be able to win or at least get a point.

France and Italy will probably share points as well and both will go home.

Did any of you before the tournament would put a £1 on Romania qualifying from the group

Honestly, the bench offensive players are as good as the starters , even if they don't want to win vs Rumania they have a good chance to win it.

Van Nistelrooy-Kuyt-Van der vaart. (i understand Van Basten don't play Robben or Van Persie as starters despite his talent, this trio play very good together as a team and also play defense)

So far, its going that way, so this aint suprising for me.
all congrats for Holland total football, I love it but am sure they wont win it.

Italia and France are screwed regardless of who wins. Van Basten and the Dutch will throw the game against Romania guaranteed. There's no way they wanna see France or Italy qualify and possibly face them down the line.

As for the games themselves (well just the Italy-Romania game) Italy was robbed after that Toni goal that was disallowed at the end of the 1st half. In all my years of supporting the Azzurri I've never seen the defense look so soft. Panucci as a CD tells you all you need to know about how far the talent has dropped off at that position. And Zambrotta's defensive mistake was just brutal. He'll fit right on in with Bilan and their UEFA Cup aspirations. As a final note, Del Piero is almost useless with the national team. Always has been, always will be. Cassano must start against the Frogs.

Gonna watch the Netherlands-France game now. Only saw the highlights so far and it looks rather tasty.
