Just wanted to say, that what a game that was. Holland - France.

It seems Holland will reach at least semis in a heartbeat. Good that they are that strong, cause I would never stad Spain or Portugal win it.

Domenech deserves the blame, I bet Mexes would have dealt with those strikers better and Clichy would be more effective than Evra/Abidal.

The commentator on Domenech: "He is a man of the arts. His passions include astrology and the theatre."

I don't know why, I laughed hard when I heared this and remembered Shahz and his gay accusations of Domenech and Vieira

Dont know much about this but look at what Wiki writes about him

Domenech's management style has also raised eyebrows amongst players and fans. A keen amateur dramatist and astrologer, Domenech has admitted to distrusting Scorpios, such as Robert Pirès. This led to the choosing of Vikash Dhorasoo who played an important part in qualifying but not in the finals. He later fell out with Dhorasoo after he made a behind the scenes film called "Substitute".His decision to leave out FC Barcelona star Ludovic Giuly in favour of Franck Ribéry, and subsequent refusal to explain that decision, left many French players and fans mystified. [1]. Domenech chose Pascal Chimbonda, a low-profile player with no international experience, for the squad. Domenech's selection for the France's World Cup squad was further criticised when he publicly announced that Fabien Barthez would start ahead of Lyon goalkeeper Grégory Coupet. This decision was met with derision in the French press and also led to Coupet walking out of the national squad before the tournament, though he was later to return. [2] His exclusion of A.S Roma back bone defender, Philippe Mexès, has also raised a few eyebrowes. Mexès, named Hope of the year in 2000 and being an all star defender for A.S Roma since his arrival to the team, still has to participate in a competitive senior tournament under Domenech.

This guy is a joke..Could you imagine being dumped out of the team because of your sign!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:dielaugh::dielaugh::dielaugh:

He supposedly has signed for Lyon before the Euro. That's why Perrin was sacked despite winning the double, coz Domenech had accepted. We'll see if it's true

Why are Italy and France crying so much over what Holland does in the final game?

They have already qualified as the group leaders, this game is nothing more than a firendly to them, why the fuc*k should they care about Italy & France? They have every right to play a reserve squad in this game. To keep their first team more fit, and to give the reserves a chance to show what they have got.

If Italy and France are in this position, they only have themselves to blame for it.

Honestly Italian whine way too much, probably only second to English. Just one wrong offside decision, and the whining still hasnt stopped.

It's mostly made up of juve and milan players, who are used to getting favoured, and now there are many roma players too, who are used to whining. You do the math

Haha this is great. We never see Matrix or Grosso (ex-inter) whining about ref rule often

Grosso isn't in Inter anymore while Materazzi is probably the worst Azzurri player..I'll do the math for you - the contribution of Inter players to Italy is zero..

There wasn't anybody else available.

They would take Ancelotti, but Ancelotti doesn't want to leave Milan yet. They would maybe get Mancini, but Mancini was at his prime at the moment. Capello at Real Madrid, Lippi out, Spaletti at Roma.

They were out of options.

Holland team to play Romania:

Stekelenburg; Boulahrouz, Bouma, Heitinga, De cler; De Zeeuw, Engelaar; Van Persie, Afellay, Robben; Huntelaar

9 Changes to the team that started against France. No VDV, RVN, Sjneider, Kuyt, Van Bronckhorst, a completely new defence except for Boulahrouz, really isnt going to impress Italy or France.

Still, this dutch attack is easily capable of breaching any defence. Robben we all know what he can do. Hunteelar playing his first game in the tournament, Afellay is a great PSV AM.
Unless Van Basten specifically told his team to loose the game, I think even with this team they should be able to beat Romania, or atleast get a tie with them.

Holland doesnt owe them anything...I would imade changes that ensures i lost to get two fierce competitors out.YOu might say both France and Italy arent in great shape which i would agree to.They dont deserve to qualify, but if you allow them to qualify they will get better and it will come back to haunt you...
