I never liked Germany, they were once the team i hate the most. It was just the way they played before..was jus a bit too ellitest.

Anyways, this Germany is probably nowhere close to any German flow I've ever seen from them over the years. Flow is the keyword if you wanna thank Klinsman. I think he has a slight egotistical side to him...and his expected " all hands will clap for me " when Lehmaan protects us are gone down that drain.
Kahn is going to be solid and Klinsman wont be thanked for it.

The most likely runner up is Ecuador anyways...

so, you live in denmark?? :D

yeah so I have plenty of reasons to hate them,

They fucked us up in the second world war, they trashed us under the Napoleonic war plus several other wars after the 17'th hundred. they have stolen southern schleswig and Holstein from us, stupid fuckers.

Noway should have been ours as well, if it hadn't been for our stupid King we wouldn't have lost it to Sweden. I want it back lol

@ Adriano@10 , yeah I was also very impressed by Valencia yesterday, but I am too lazy to check out his stats.
I have a huge probelm, I ahve got a tutorial class exactly at 9, ie when the time that england is playing. Its an advanced stats class. And I dont know shit about it, and if I miss this class, I am most probably gonna fuck up on the test too, that is just a week later. ARRRGGGHHH, who is gonna pray for Paraguay when I am in my class?? I think I will just take the first hour of class, and then watch the second half live.

My prediction:
1) Germany
2) Costa Rica
3) Poland
4) Ecuador

One of Ecuador and Costa Rica will advance to the next round. I have this feeling that Poland will choke! Germany will get all points. If they don't, they cannot contend for the title :D

Here you go Tim... Next time read the whole post:D I thought that Ecuador was playing Germany first, that's why I put them last there, it was right after the draw!

Germany sucks, they have nice tactics but not much talents.

btw, what do you think about Klose in Inter?:embarass: he might have no skills, but he's so close from Inzaghi, nice positioning and doesn't miss easy chances.

Deutschland, Deutschland über alles, Über alles in der Welt :yuck:

this line is disgusting, it seems like they haven't gotten over their superior feeling from second world war. they always sing this line, another reason to hate them.

Man, it's nice to get some facts before making such statements.

This line doesn't refer to WWII or whatever. Deutschland über alles, which means Germany above all, doesn't refer to other nations. It was to counter all the regional squabbilings that plagued Germany in the past.

But most people miss this fact and think of it as superiority over others. They can't even sing this anthem anymore, they have to sing the third Stanza.

I am really not interested in going more in this discussion. But Germany always gets crap for these things. You really think they were the only evil country on the history of Earth.

i will never ever ever not trust in germany, if the last time they make it into the finals imagine this time playing at home... they're defence suck, yes, but wanchope was class yestarday, they have the system of bayern munchen and the mentality of werder bremen, actually i think klose will be the max scorer of this WC.
maybe they need some more quality players, but they are very strong, more than netherlands or spain if u ask me.

Think I've got a crush on Schweinsteiger and Lahm after that match, but on the other hand, the Costa Rican's could care less about defending on the flanks. It was shocking to see.

Germany impressed me and they look very dangerous. However, they have a big problem to solve in the defence. They used an off-side trap, and it was the right back Friedrich who screwed up all the time. Which is dangerous as none of their central defenders has the pace to cover up such mistakes.

This is a rubbish group though. Germany and Ecuador will qualify for sure, now.

btw. Hamoudi..

I know you know french...so you understand this.

In german..Führer is masculine, so it's "Der Führer"

Die Führer means you are a girl.

or maybe you mean "Die Führer" like in Wolfenstein and die as in "mourir".

But anyway...the word Führer isn't really a word germans like, so I wouldn't use it.

Nice opening goal by Germany, but I wasn’t really surprised by the result, I am sure Germany will win the group. They looked good up front, but the defence looked a bit vulnerable.

I was happy to see Ecuador win and am hoping they or Costa Rica make it through with the Germans.

I do agree with you that the German defence is nothing to brag about but I would like to see them a little more protected by the central midfielders (at least one of them).

Against Costa Rica they allowed two goals when the Costa Rica ball-carrier had all the time to check his options and to choose the right moment to pass the ball to Wanchope.

If they do not change this I think Riquelme (if both Germany and Argentina win their group and advance to the quarter-finals) will have a great day and he will end the German adventure in this World Cup.

However I am sure that Klinsmann will change this in the future or (the most probable thing) I am just plain wrong with my analysis (it would not be not the first time :D ).

Great analysis Angelo and welcome to the forums.

I never liked Frings, he really think he is better than what he really is. He tries to play 2-way when it's better to just stick to 1. He is good going forward, but it's better he stuck to defence since there are no other DM's or 2-way CM's.

I prefer Kehl to start next time. He is a tad better defensively than Frings, and his long balls are much better. But I doubt Klinsman would pull that off.

Hamed, die Führer thanks for the welcome. Is it possible that Frings tried to overdo against Costa Rica because he knew that he had to overcome the absence of Ballack?

It's just Hamed :D Die Führer was appended to my name by the admins for the World cup! No Gemran love here!

About Frings, your explanation makes perfect sense, taking into account that Borowski didn't have the best of games.

However, knowing Frings, I'd probably disagree with that. He was shipped out of Bayern because he was trying to dictate how the team should play. Like I said, he is a great player, but sometimes bites more than what he can chew.

Nonetheless, being a Germany-fan, I'd love it if he can play great. The goal he scored should give him confidence. Still, I am too much of a Kehl fan not to wish that Kehl plays instead of Frings!
