I can't watch the Primavera games, but people who do tell me that from this year (on), there's a new approach. The new philosophy is to teach football to the players, just like they do at Barcelona and Ajax.

Aiming at the mere results is not good for a youth academy, that's why Esposito was relieved from his task.

I hope this true (teaching a system to the players). As you say, Barca and Ajax have been doing this for ages, and it is now what sets Barca in particular apart from the rest in terms of youth development.

That's good news for Wenger... I mean Inter

As a Finnish citizen, I'm interested in this kid, Henri Toivomäki, who is training with Inter for this week. He arrived to Inter on Monday and leaves back to Finland on Friday.

http://translate.google.com/translate?u=http%3A//www.fcinternews.it/%3Faction%3Dread%26idnotizia%3D12736&hl=en&langpair=auto|en&tbb=1&ie=ISO-8859-1

I don't even know with who he's training, but I given his age (born in 1991, 18 years old), I assume it would be the Primavera team so I posted this here.

I know very little about this kid, haven't seen him ever. He was a regular player for FC Lahti last season (Finnish season starts in Spring and ends in Autumn), so it's pretty well for a 18-year-old CB. He's part of Finnish U19 team of course and he's been in trial at Inter before several years ago.

Most probably he will never come again but hopefully he will! :)

In fact he already trained at Inter 3-4 years ago, but then Inter said he is still a bit to young and since then Inter kept an eye at him. So that he won't come back again doesn't have to be said. It seems like Inter is seeing something in him.

Yeah I knew that too "he's been in trial at Inter before several years ago."

Clearly he was a talent back then already, and apparently he has developed very well, given his status in his club, NT participation and now trials on foreign clubs (he's going to Lille's trial after Inter and before Christmas he was in a trial at Lens and Cagliari).

But aren't this trials some kind of a step down for a player. I mean that for a kid 18 years old is a little too late to make trials. Usually in this age if you are a real talent you don't do trials anymore but you directly sign a contract ...

Anyway maybe for players of lower leagues such as finland or romania is not a problem to have a trial. I hope he becomes an inter player ( if he deserves it)

Yeah you are right. Probably Inter wanted to check this kid because of his talent earlier when he was at Inter. Inter will be of course too tough for him but maybe Primavera squad would be a proper team for him.

I think why Italian clubs are interested in Finnish kids is that they are so cheap. Finnish teams can't really negotiate good deals for their youngsters and bigger foreign clubs unfortunately steals their talents for underprice generally.

Though I really doubt Toivomäki is THAT good he will impress Inter coaches so much that he would be signed to even Primavera team.

Primavera: AC Milan 1-4 Inter
Saturday, 20 March 2010 16:57:07

MILAN - Inter thrashed AC Milan in Week 21 of the Campionato Primavera to move within four points of their city rivals (currently top of Division B with 45 points) with three games in hand still to play.

Fulvio Pea's boys produced the perfect performance against the Rossoneri, taking a 3-1 lead into the break before adding a fourth nine minutes from time.

Mattia Destro fired in the opener from the penalty spot in the 24th minute after being brought down in the area, with Joel Obi volleying home the second four minutes later.

Milan's Adiyiah reduced the arrears with a deflected shot just past the half hour to become the first player to scored against Inter in 2010, but Inter restored their two-goal cushion three minutes before half time when Michele Rigione found the net with a low strike from outside the area.

Samuele Beretta, on for Alibec in the second half, completed the rout with a fine individual effort in the 83rd minute, taking the ball past four opponents before firing past Donnarumma.

AC Milan 1-4 Inter (HT: 1-3)

Scorers: Destro (pen) 24, Obi 29, Adiyiah 31, Rigione 41, Beretta 81.

Whoaa! Hahahaa! Great job kids!

Btw, Nwankwo Obiora has taken part in every match since he joined the team in January. He has started in every match but one in the championship. Though don't remember how he featured in Viareggio.

Primavera is looking good. Wish I could see the highlights for all their games. Hell of a goal by Obi, no keepers stopping that. Destro looked good to. That Nwankwo kid interests me aswell. Nigerian defensive mid, looks very physically built, and from what I've seen he's a competent passer. Doesn't do much just does what's simple. I got all this from watching a Viareggio cup game with him in it. I believe he's co-owned with Parma so I doubt he will be in our first team next years. Probably spend some time there.

GDS:

In July there's Coutinho - Part of the transaction of Mariga next season the two promising youngsters Obi and Nwankwo will move to Parma. Also, the technical director Marco Branca was back after a day in Brazil where he met with the playmaker Coutinho which in July will be part of the first team.

They didn't say on whether they are going to Parma on loan, co-ownership or what. And Coutinho is coming in July.

Hopefully co-ownership at most. I thought Nwanwko would have been part of the first team from the summer on. And, maybe he will be and the deal won't be made right in June/July. And maybe he won't go at all.

I feel like having Nwankwo would step on Khrin's toes. Not to mention we have Mariga and I'm not quite sure what position Mou wants him in. Box to box or defensive mid he's probably going to be second on the depth chart behind Cambiasso or Zanetti. Is Krhin a DM? He say's his favorite player is Cambiasso and he watches his moves on the field. I say we keep one of Krhin and Nwankwo and lone/co-own the other. Of course if the GDS reports true that decisions already been made.

If somebody want watch primavera's highlights he need enter to site interfans, forum video and thread primavera 09/10. ENJOY!

About our midlefield of Primavera. We have very good midlefieldes, but Pea more like the phisycal midlefielders than our best like Crisetig. It's his decision but I think we need give more time for our best players, who need play in first team.

Anyway, next season we have very good midlefielders. Crisetig and Fossati will get more minutes, Bessa, Romano and Candido will be also. Maybe even Coutinho will get some minutes and Cerimagic that will arive in January 2011 (will be 16 years old). Also 2010/11 will be the last season in the primavera of Stevanovic.

I hope our players will luck in the first squad, it's the most important thing.

No no Alain.

That's not because you are 15 years old, it's because your account isn't activated yet. Actually your account is disabled from the forum, and it happend to everyone when registers, but admin should turn your account to activate.

This happend to me before.. then I contacted to the forum's admin for this, that I cannot post in the forums, then he activated my account.
