i've got the feeling that de boer was way too passive about defending his work, in frontt of the players and in front of the cameras, too. sorry frankie, that's not how you survive in the jungle. not all the world is a paradise for coaches like eredivisie.

good point frankie lost the players confidence... they didn't care what he said and played as individuals not as a team

Extremely well put, framing perfectly our failure to support him seriously and outlining why we'll see more of the stop-gapping we're already accustomed to in the near future as well.

I believe that the dumbasses in the management have missed on a golden opportunity to change this team, but instead they took us back to ground zero and to continue the same shitfest style and approach of the past 6 years. A relatively big number of fans seem to see this except the management.

If there's anything we've learned about Inter's management for the past two decades then it's an extremely impatient one (except with idiots like Mancini). Any non-Inter fan would tell you the same. I'm not stating anything new here.

Everybody blames the mngmt but not De Boer. He also has fault for his sacking. He was too hasty to implement his tactics even when he wasn't supported from some players and when obviously some players struggled in new formation. Recently i've read a material where De Boer said that transition to 4-3-3 takes time, it's difficult and that some players weren't convinced in his tactics and his vision. So, my question is why he forced the team to play that way then? Miranda, for instance struggles to play at high defensive line but he is arguably our best defender. So, why De Boer hasn't tried to fit his system and tactics to the players in our squad and in same time to prepare a list with needed players capable to play 4-3-3 high defensive line system, for the winter market? Then after the winter break with new players and some of olds gone, he could have tried to implement step by step his tactics and philosophy.
He reminds me of Mazzari who also didn't have proper players for 3-5-2, especially fullbacks but however he implemented it. Anyway i'm sure that if De Boer was appointed at the end of last season with all summer for transfers and preparation ahead the results would have been different now.

True, I believe that even if we gave Strama those six years and stuck with him he'd already be working wonders, probably getting out of the group stages of CL on a regular basis. Time is no guarantee, but sacking coaches after a couple of months is one for perpetual misery.

Our main mistake was thinking just because we finally spent some money that we will suddenly be good.

At the moment we are unbalanced. There is a lot of promise in midfield and on the wings. But Barbosa has not integrated into the team yet. Joao Mario needs more time to reach his full potential for us. Candreva can still improve his understanding with his team mates, namely Perisic and Icardi.

But our backline is still pretty weak. Its why we played a conservative style under Mancini. Because these defenders need to be set up in a low block, with at least 6 of them back, to have any sort of consistent defensive success. playing higher, both Miranda and Ranocchia struggle. On top of which, our fullbacks are our biggest weakness. I have hope for Ansaldi though, and even Santon. But not Nagatomo or D'Ambrosio, really. If we get 6 or 7m for either of those two, its a success. Even a swindle.

I'll gladly donate them to other team.

Hiring FdB was something similar to what Roma did by hiring Enrique. He wasn't the right fit.

Add to that the lack of preseason, FdB's unfamiliarity with Serie A and his general inexperience, and you've got yourself the mess that we are in right now.

You mean in the exact same form that Mancini who had a pre-season, was familiar with the league and had decades of experience as a coach and a player in Italy, ended last season with?

Mancini got fourth behind a team which had better players at that moment. Where is the problem?

"According to news collected by FcInterNews, Inter were searching for a new midfielder with skills like Gary Medel, asked by Frank De Boer. Not a playmaker so, but a midfielder able to break the enemies' game and let to rest Medel, always used by FdB."

because he wanted someone who can bench him only to allow him a rest. so someone who does what medel does now, only not as well apparently.
