Apparently everyone the world sees that the problem is Inter's management except Inter's management.

Well that would involve someone at the club being responsible, which has never been inters game

were Ibra,Maicon,JC,Cuchu,Samuel,JZ,Milito,Crespo,Sneijder world class when they came here?! No they were talented and put in a pretty stable environment at the time and they boomed and we won the treble. We didn't change coaches every 2 months back then(thanks Calciopoli)Otherwise Italians have no patience...I thought the Chinese are different but not rly,and they are influenced by local mentality or what?
Cou,Kova,Kondo,JJ,Murillo,Shaqiri came to a shit storm and they all failed,it ain't rocket science to figure this out

Those players might have not been world class when they first came here, but they were borderline world class meaning they were capable of reaching that status with a good season. Very different from raw youth.

With that mentality you can say Mourinho also came into that environment and boomed maybe that's why he's been shit since he left Inter. I'll still cheer for him, always and forever <3

Barcelona: Former Inter boss Frank De Boer emerges as possible replacement for Luis Enrique

Barcelona have a six-man shortlist to replace Luis Enrique at the end of the season as the contract of the Spanish manager expires at the end of the current campaign and new contract talks have yet to begin. A host of well-known International managers have been linked with replacing Luis Enrique at the end of the season, including Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp.

According to Spanish news outlet Marca, former Inter boss Frank De Boer is also one of the profiles that Barcelona executives are considering at the moment.

De Boer style is very offensive and his favourite formation is 4-3-3 which would suit perfectly with Barcelona’s tactical approach. The Dutchman played 143 games with Barcelona during his playing career and would become the third club legend to be appointed as Barcelona boss in the last 10 years after Pep Guardiola and Luis Enrique.

De Boer was appointed as Inter boss last August, but he remained in charge of the Meazza hierarchy for just three months as he was sacked this past November after losing seven of the opening 14 games in charge of the nerazzurri.

Mauro Icardi reveals the situation at Inter became “unbearable” under previous Coach Frank de Boer.

The Dutchman replaced Roberto Mancini before the start of the season, but was sacked after losing seven of his first 14 games, with Stefano Pioli replacing him.

“The situation with De Boer had become unbearable,” Icardi confirmed in an interview with Gazette dello Sport.

“The players who weren’t featuring were really unhappy and weren’t participating with much desire, even in the celebrations and the joy of the team.

“Now with Pioli the atmosphere has changed, even those who aren’t playing feel involved in the project and are pleased to be part of the group.

“He has changed Inter’s mentality, even to those who recently weren’t playing much with De Boer and who despite the change on the bench continue to play less.

“We’re working on the mentality, above all concentration; not least because everything starts from the head.

“And you can’t ignore the physical side of things in this period, we’re only in January there’s still half a season to go.”

Brazilian striker Gabigol joined the Nerazzurri from Santos this summer, but has so far made just three brief substitute appearances.

However, Icardi is sure that his young teammate has the quality to make an impact in Serie A.

“It’s normal that people expected more from him, there was huge expectation around him when he arrived in the summer.

“Italian football doesn’t look at youngsters though, it immediately demands answers. He needs time to work, but he’s doing well every day.

“It’s different for me, I grew up in Italy and I built my footballing career here. For Gabriel it’s different, everything is different.”

This confirms his sack was the right move.

Or maybe FdB was a real asshole...towards the majority of players, because they are inept of learning new tricks...old dog and all that
7 loses in 14 games...damn son that is uber shit even for our standards
He might be a good coach but not suitable to a club like ours sadly
I can see him doing way better at Barca for example, there they would be used to his methods...

Why people state that De Boer is offensive coach?! I didn't see something offensive in his tenure here. It's more like possession football but not offensive.

Think thats the usual presumption with possession based style of play where as you rightly say it isn't always the case.

But who knows, could be like Luis Enrique at Roma, this team and club just didnt suit him.

Never you had a teacher who most of the class didn't like? FdB tried to change too much too fast. A wise coach knows how to keep his players happy. If he loses the dressing room it's time to go.

But who did he bench in order to bring upon himself an uprising? Are Kondogbia and Nagatomo enough to stage a coup?

I won't say Frank did not have his share of blame, but judging from the amount of support he did not have from the management while he was being crucified by the media, I figure nobody supported him on the training ground as well.

Kondogbia, Brozovic, Melo, Perisic, possibly even Murillo and Miranda's who apparently disobeyed tactical instructions sometimes.

No it confirms that he was horrible at managing his players; the most crucial part of coaching. If your players are unhappy you must correct it, especially when they start to disobey.

de Boer brought his sacking upon himself

And yet 90% of the time those are the teachers you learn the most from. Just dislike that at the whim of our players our management get rid of him so quickly

it depends. are they really strict but really good at teaching you but you dislike them because of how strict they are. Or do you dislike them because you know their stupid, wasting your time and teaching you nothing.

I don't think anyone has come out and said Frank is a bad coach, just that he lost the dressing room. I'm torn here because on one hand I think our players should be professionals and do whatever the coach says no matter how much of a dick he is. However, on the other hand I know that they are still people at the end of the day, and man management is a HUGE part of coaching. If the majority of the squad felt a certain way about Frank then that's on him.

I agree with that thought, and I feel that maybe Frank tried to impose his views too harshly and too quickly and ended up losing the confidence of the squad. But I can't help but also feel that management hanged him out to dry, judging by the little support they gave him while he was being criticized by the media. Whatever discipline he meant to impose, he probably didn't have the necessary backing of the powers that be.
