There's one thing very wrong with such approach, you can't sell a player without football skills for shit. Age doesn't matter if he isn't good.

We need quality first and foremost, then the opportunities for a sale will happen naturally. Just like when people were freak out because we were signing Lukaku for the first time, they worried that he wouldn't have any resale value. We sold him 2 years later for 115m. Imagine what would have happened if had gone with younger options for the sake of resale e.g. Moussa Dembele, Luka Jovic...

Gabigol had football skills too. He had a great goal scoring record for a very young player in an inferior league. I am not saying balogun can't play - i am saying his skills aren't likely to be what we need.

dalbert, joao mario, lazaro, gabigol were all players that had some skills and a good season or 2 and were young and yet we couldn't re-sell them.

The problem with Valhovic seems to be some chronic injury, not because he is worse player. Same with Chiesa. I've read that Jube are ready to drop their asking price to 40mln, but there is almost zero (I think only Liverpool) interest due to his injury record.

If I had to guess, the math is that at 80m, 20% to Arsenal means our "net cost" is 51m to Inter and the fee we get in total is 54m so we are 3m profit. But of course that's double counting the 16m - same as the hotel receptionist 3x10 dollar quiz with the missing dollar.
