And Lautaro leaving next summer is very likely (even more when he gets the armband )

To be fair, neither Balogun or Thuram can really demand to be a starting striker. The only starting striker we have is Lautaro. Not to mention that we have so many games in the season that even the 4th striker will get good game time. The 2nd/3rd striker will essential play every game, starting quite a few.

Balogun would be coming from a midtable Ligue 1 team so I doubt he would kick up a fuss about not starting every game.

Osimhen had more then just 1 decent season at pro level. He had also scored 10+ in the swiz league the season before. Also 2 goals in 5 games for Lille in the cl. It was clear he wasn't a one season wonder.

His season was also as the leading striker for a title winning team. A bit different pressure to having a good season for a mid table side.
