@Wings:

I think that Sassuolo is a hugely under-rated team. They've been having trouble quite recently, but they also seem to get point in the most unlikely places (Rome, Napoli, Lazio, Milan). You are right in saying that playing against Sassuolo may have made it easier for us, but that doesn't make the differences in play that the players made any lighter. There was a hustle to the team that definitely wasn't there in our past few games (vs Catania). I doubt we will make CL this season, but I was mainly just giving my thoughts for next season

So the conclusion is...as long as we play Sassuolo every week, we should get back into CL.

Oh yee of little faith! We'll win the World Cup!

No, they are shit. They have one objective and that's too stay alive that's why their squad is basically made up of whoever they could get. They typically show up for big games and get results against big teams. 20% of our entire goals for this season has come against them.

Totally agree. Two reasons they are underrated one being new comers to SerieA second is losing to Inter 7-0 when we played better and they had an off day. After that they managed to play well against big teams and take points off them. We could have easily been embarrassed yesterday at times. That fk was amazing and could have resulted in a goal,so just cause we won doesnt mean they are crap. In fact we have faced many teams who played worse against us and we didnt manage to win.

Also teams who are fighting for survival can be very dangerous anyone who has seen football long enough knows that especially when they are pumped up because its the begining of the season or their last shot at the end or even changed a few players and or a coach (applicable here). Let alone that they were humiliated by Inter last time around.Just remember the last day of the 2009 season when we were playing against Parma and Roma against Catania, both due for relegation and how hard those games were for both no.1 and no.2 teams.

Always beware of a wounded tiger.

I don't care if they get some results against big teams, so did Strama. The 'hustle' you saw was because Sassuolo didn't exert the type of pressure that basically every other team has, meaning we had more room to express ourselves.

Sassuolo are relegation favorites for a reason, and you saw here why. They were unable to do anything from open play.

Did some things change? Probably. Guarin returned and had one of his better games for awhile, apparently Hernanes started well (I didn't watch from the beginning), we probably created more chances than in the last couple games combined. But people shouldn't read too much into the victory – for all our 'hustle,' we achieved the bare minimum when at home to a side that's second from bottom.

we look a much better technical team with hernanes and botta, i hope over time we can add kova to midfied and ricky too!

nagatomo works hard but has been shit for a while, jonathon looks for easy short pass rather than doing anything influential, team still has a long way to

2-0 loss me thinks.

Fiorentina will attack very hard. They want Champions League next season. Mazzari will not want to face the opponent with offensive playing, of course. This would lead to a heavy Inter defeat, but the best strikers Fiorentina has are not available in this moment, so Inter has a chance to remain undefeated. A win for Inter against Fiorentina away seem very hard to happen right now. Cuadrado, Valero, those players can cause Inter trouble.
Inter won last night so Mazzari will not make some huge changes I think (he will say that the winning team doesn't change), so we can expect no Taider, Kovacic, Botta next game too. Whatever they do, Inter players need to concentrate. Last night Nagatomo seem like he doesn't know what to do, Hernanes saw that I think and he was a little pissed because of that. And Palacio, Milito missed very easy chances. Guarin and Hernanes should play next week, that's for sure.
All in all, I hope for a draw on some reasonable level, but hope for a win as an Inter fan.

Sky says Botta could start next to Palacio instead of Milito.

fyi...valero is suspended for this game (lucky us). Picked up a real stupid yellow in their last game.

We should win this. If we can't beat them without 3/4 of their attack, we should just give up tbh. No Rossi, Gomez or Valero. Only cuadrado.

Please mazzarri, get your shit together. Stop fucking with the lineup. We have good players. Please play them. No more kuz and milito please. STOP THE BULLSHIT.

Everything I have read (links below) suggests there is a very good chance of Gomez making his return on Saturday. Where are people hearing he won't play?

http://www.fantagazzetta.com/calcio-italia/fiorentina-gomez-adesso-punta-ad-uno-spezzone-contro-l-inter-182374 (italian)

However, this link (a blog) confirms that Valero is out:

The only down side to the match was a yellow card for Borja Valero, who will miss the Inter match next weekend.

Well that increases chances for Inter. But sources say Gomez will be back.

Poor Palacio. I know it's only 1 game / week, but still, he needs a rest, at least for 1 match.
But i understand Mazzari too, Milito is finished, Icardi fucked his daughter/wife.

Is it just me who doesn't care who plays for the opposition or not?!

If we were goode enough we would beat them anyhow...but we are clearly not if people are afraid of fu Gomez!

deal with the fact that this is year zero,we have a new coach(who I don't consider to be good for us and I can't do nothing about)and that the team needs a serious make over in the summer to improve.Consistency is the key so WM might very well stay on(if he doesn't blew it completely)and try to improve the team with intergration of new names...only that way the team can grow.If we get a new coach we will be at square one again...I hope people realize that!

JJM, I like the attitude, but fact is we're still fighting for 3rd place and this game could be important in that race.

Every edge helps!
