Do people realize we can't have a full scale youth project right...There needs to be a balance between let's say the experienced(Hernanes,Guarin) and the less experienced(Taider,Kova).If we had on a full scale youth project we would be like Livorno battling for relegation!Generation changes take a few season.BUT the problem is that it is taking longer here as the mgmt and MM though that the "senators" are gonna last forever or smth like that Thohir said that he wants youth but he also wants to get to Europe soon as possible(read the articles I posted in ET thread).If I was told win a EU competition place but play the youth as well I would be conffused as fuck as well.Of course the coach is gonna try to reach the EU competition first and put the youth in secondary plans.

and in Mazzarri's 3-5-2 system Kova can't play in the DM's position because he isn't a "metodista"(required to defend and stay at the back most of the time and pass the ball quickly to the LCM or RCM,like Kuz is doing ) which is different as the DLP/regista/(has more freedom to create and move forward,like Kova does).I want Kova to develope here.He can play where Hernanes plays as a LCM.maybe it is less pressure for him if he has Hernanes to teach him to develope in that role.

If we had Motta,Sneijder,Cuchu in his prime,Deki in his prime it would be much easier to develope Kova and Taider around them than it is around an old Cuchu,Kuz,Guarin...it is easier to develope kids when things are going better because it's less pressure on the kids to preform.

and yes Mazzarri is maybe not the right coach to develope kids...but blame the mgmt and their choices for that...it is them who picked WM!

Win no matter what, win no matter how. Play like shit, win via trollish ways and then wonder why, at the end of the season we fall way short of our objectives. We can only win today or develop to win tomorrow. And as things stand now, we're not even remotely close to being in the position to win today and we're doing nothing to prepare ourselves to win tomorrow. We know the importance of a youth project, but we're constantly willing to throw it all away for these meaningless games. At this stage there is no reason for more than a few of the players on this team to even see the pitch, besides from the bench or the stands yet they continue to start and under perform. That doesn't matter though right, because the youth don't know how to win or they weren't Mazzari's players. Which is funny because he has no problem expressing his hard on for Kuzmanovic who also isn't one of his players.

So you can go join Mazzari in being happy. He's playing for an extension that would have him set for life. At the rate we're going now, an entire year would have passed, we would have marginally improved over last season and would be in an even bigger mess than we were last May.
