Surely our FFP situation was clear to our management long before the window. Why the fuck was Sabatini talking about Nainggolan or Vidal if we could not even afford Karamoh? Why did we even bid for Schick if FFP was an issue.

Inter director Walter Sabatini confirms the negotiations with Caen for Yann Karamoh are over. “We won’t make any more signings.”

The player had wanted to join them at San Siro, but the two clubs again failed to agree terms this evening.

“It’s all collapsed, the transfer is not going to happen,” intermediary Oscar Damiani told Calciomercato.com.

Sabatino also spoke to reporters when leaving the summit at the transfer centre.

“We won’t make any more signings. It has been a pragmatic transfer campaign.”

However, an hour later, Damiani went back into the Inter HQ amid reports it was a ploy to push Caen into a corner.

No one is saying FFP does not exist. I am saying FFP is being used as an excuse for losing out on Schick & Karamoh. FFP is not a new thing happened last week, Inter management have known our exact situation from the beginning. How were they planning to execute the Nainggolan or Vidal deals a month back? Schick went for a 5m loan, Roma have structured that deal to have minimal FFP impact. Why couldn't we do that?

Please don't be naive. Its quite possible the Karamoh excuse is just a negotiation tactic. But we lost Schick due to incompetence. We didn't get a new CB due to gross incompetence. There is no hiding from the fact that this could ve been planned much better.

i don't think it was incompetence.
i think suddenly something changed profoundly and dramatically in Suning' strategic plans, that led to a complete draining out of funds, now and in the immediate future. thus sabatini and ausilio had to renegade on basically already done deals (w/genoa for their youngins') and in their ability to close deals that where within reach (shick, keita, CBs).
