I don't know if it does or doesn't make sence... I just know that to the media he speaks Slovenian... I don't know how he speaks to the players. That's why there is always someone translating his words to Macedonian in the interviews... And I didn't know he can speak Serbian....

Yeah you are right... He played for Zvezda, but I don't know if he played for Yugoslavian NT. I first heard of him when he became coach to be honest... Coach of Slovenian NT.

Great night for Croatia..We've easily beaten Andorra 7-0, and both Russia and England earned only 1 point..A win was expected, great game by M.Petrić(Basel, SUI) who scored 4 goals, nobody got injured and the confidence is on very high level..

Our Group is becoming very interesting, few clubs within reasonable chance to qualify..Congratulations to Macedonia and Israel, they came out with a point against the odds..We're facing Cozzi's boys;) on Wednesday, though match without a doubt, I would be happy if we manage not to loose..

Interesting results as Spain lost to Sweden, Yuko's boys have beaten Ireland 5-2..And above all, France lost in Scotland..:blind:

LOL..he definitely speaks Serbian well cause he was some time in Belgrade playing for Red Star..Also, I heard him talking when he gave an interview to our TV Network..You can consider him as a polyglot when it comes to ex-Yu languages..:dielaugh:

damn..Spain lost to Sweden with 2-0. Sweden played without Zlatan, mellberg..

Aragones is the biggest moron ever...he played again without any wide player, but instead Xavi, Albelda(useless), Angulo(useless) and Cesc in midfield.

damn!!!!!

It does seem like Spain are struggling a bit in their group, although there is still a long way to go in qualification. I know there was talk of Aragones resigning after the Northern Ireland result, maybe now he’ll decide to go!

A great result for Scotland, they beat France 1-0! It is nice to see them leading the group even though they probably won’t be there at the end.

England drew 0-0 with Macedonia. I haven’t seen the highlights, but from the interviews it seems like the team was a bit flat and missed some chances. Hopefully they will improve in the next game, but at least they are still top of the table.

Wonder if I can
Czech NT coach suggested something like "pre-qualification" for weakest teams in Europe and only best of them would play qualification with rest of Europe. Funny is that Czech players are against this idea and like matches like that yesterday against San Marino (Baroš and Koller said for Czech media that it was very important both of them finally scored, even only against SM)

I said it at the beginning that Israel has a very real chance of qualifying from this group (likely at the expense of either Croatia or Russia) and they've been doing very well so far. The England draw is great for both Israel and Croatia, though they're still in all likelihood safe. Here's hoping Israel and Croatia both make it out of the group anyway. ;)

Yesterday's Italy match was really a nice match, but still Donadoni in my mind is becoming a little by little improving, but he is just on the verge of being an Italian NT Mancini.
Still Donadoni played awkwardly I think, by putting Iaquinta on the side, Luca Toni free inside and Del Piero behind Luca was strange especially that Iaquinta is really not a side striker, he needs to be inside, I would have prefered a Luca Gila Piero formation than this, but Gila wasn't available and Inzaghi is again not a side striker but could have been of more use I think

holland created some nice chances last night..but it isn't the big holland that we had on 98 and 2000.
many people blame van baste cuz he acts like he know's all but the thing is ..he doesn't know very much;) no experience at all as a coach.
+ he has to deal with young talented players who also don't have the experience..
so you can say we really have some difficulties with the nationalteam.

talented?? hm..it's relative.

I like the way Van Basten approaches to the team. I also agree with him by leaving Van Bommel and van Nistelrooy out.
So far, the results speak for him and Van Basten's mission is to create a team out of the players at his disposal, because frankly speaking, except for Van Persie, Robben and maybe Huntelaar, I don't see any great talents coming.

Any other coach would do much worse with this crop of players.

And Van Bommel is an idiot. Van Basten had told him twice before to watch out more for his man, twice he had let go of him in previous games.
At the World Cup Van Bommel's nap cost them the game because Maniche was all free when he scored.

agreed. van Basten is doing something that no other Dutch coach has had the balls to do, although your De Jong's might not be as good as your Seedorf's and your Babel's might not be good as your Makaay's, they still play with heart and passion and don't cause problems in the team, the team has enough skill to win anything and has had so in the past, but the attitude of the players is what cost them, the mentality of always playing beautiful futebol and only that has cost them, van Basten with his time with Milan learnt all this and he's getting rid of all the problems.

watch Holland win Euro 2008.
