Congrats to Frisko and all the UTD fans on board. Hard luck for han and the Wenger "Va va voom" fans..
Rio should be captain when Roy hangs his boots. Giggsy and Scholesy are not commanders and will not talk. It is only Rio or Gary.
Great pics Frisko
What made me crack up was the news conference after the match when Wenger said "Reyes was pushed by Phil Nev. out of the field." I still cant get it, what was he trying to prove?? Phil got a yellow card and it was more than enough.
Mike Riley is a bad referee and shouldnt have been incharge for this match. He did it with Newcastle at the beginning of the season. I remember Forlan last season against Portsmouth away was fouled at the end and nothing was given. He also handed the carling cup to Boro last season when he and his assistants deprived Bolton from everything in that game. This season when Newcastle played against Boro again he helped the latter team.
When Sunderland played agianst Arsenal 3 seasons ago (01/02), he disallowed Julio Arca's injury-time goal and the gooners left the stadium of light with 1 point (I think this was the best game for Vieira. He was out of this world). And Riley's mistakes goes on and on really.
I agree to some extent that the first penalty was 50/50 but there was contact!! AND 2 mins later Cole fouled Ronaldo is an ugly way, so no big deal. Why didnt Mr Wenger recall that??
I just want to point out that the refs this season were and still are very bad so dont blame Utd; blame the refs. Dont hang up your mistakes everytime on Utd. Even if West brom fails to score, they blame Utd..lol
Well, I was very optimistic about the match and before it starts i got even more optimistic because Phil Nev. was playing instead of Keane, and he reminded me with the 2-0 match 2 yrs ago(Veron and Scholes) both scoring. He totally outplayed Vieira back then and made him look like a clown.
Arsenal lost but actually their fans should be proud. 49 games without a loss is just great and no matter how Utd stopped them, the achievement will always be there and the record will stay put till someone else beats it which I really really doubt it will happen anytime in the near future. Arsenal made a great record, but of course the talk about "the best english team of all time", and "Henry is the best striker in the world", etc.. were all rubbish talk and media just decorating it.
The biggest test on Arsenal now is how will they react to this loss. They didnt lose since May 2003, and that's why it will be interesting to see how will they bounce back.
But I am really really angry with what Wenger is doing. It's getting redicuolous!! we got these 'cheating' strongarm tactics from watching Arsenal at Fulham this year when they have lost. Was that ref to them and Wenger liking that day to overturn a good penalty and disallow a good goal?????
Maybe Riley isn't scared when the scumsenal players surround him.
Wenger and obviously all the biased gooners keep talking about how their players look like angels and behave as ones too, while we r the red devils, cheats, shouldnt play football, blah blah blah.. I mean up to this season scumsenal had the worst disciplinary record of any top flight team. They had over 50 red cards in about 5/6 seasons!!! Were all these 'refereeing mistakes' or were they ashamed of these players wearing their shirt??
As for Rooney, if people are convinced that he dived then he only did what Pires has been doing for seasons, so..
