so up to 6.75m for Godin and 5m for Dzeko. Inter has become a very generous retirement home. Give modric 10m and 5m to vidal while we are at it.

According to Calciomercato.com, the Nerazzurri have reached an agreement with the Bosnia international, offering him a three-year contract worth €6m a season, but still must finalise the deal with the Giallorossi first. * I hope this one is wrong, €4/4.5m should be enough!

Inter are hoping to sign Edin Dzeko and Aleksandar Kolarov from Roma, using cash plus youth team striker Davide Merola.

According to the Corriere dello Sport, Antonio Conte intends to make a double swoop at the Stadio Olimpico, where those players would follow in the footsteps of Radja Nainggolan.

Both Dzeko and Kolarov are entering the final year of their contracts at the Stadio Olimpico.

The Bosnian is valued at around €13m, while the veteran Serbian left-back would only be considered as part of a package deal, or if he managed to secure a release from Roma for a nominal fee.

The Corriere dello Sport claims that the two clubs could reach an agreement for €10m cash plus 19-year-old youth team striker Merola in exchange for Dzeko and Kolarov.

Inter are still smarting after including Nicolò Zaniolo in the Radja Nainggolan deal, seeing the teenager flourish in just one season at the Olimpico.

Roma had asked for goalkeeper Ionut Radu, currently on loan at Genoa, or Italy Under-20 forward Sebastiano Esposito, but Inter refused to budge.

Dzeko and Kolorov :palm:

I would've been excited at this transfer news about 5+ years ago. Now, not at all.

6m€ is BS obviously.

Also the rumors about the counterparts change daily, or few times a day. So let's just see what happens. What I'd like to see is some alternative popping up to put pressure to Roma. And I mean some real alternative which we will really go after if Roma demands too much. I don't want Inter to pay too much for washed up stars only because they are supposedly perfect for the coach. You pick player types, not specific players. Specially when we are not talking about some world class unique talents. These fucking players are 33/34 year old hasbeens.

That could break down any minute. I would stay away from any aging Roma player.

I see no harm in getting a couple of aged players who the coach desperately wants as long as the cost is relatively low and the contracts are not more than 2 years.

We are completely changing our style of play, and hence need a lot of new players. Maybe around 5-6 players. To get 5-6 players of the quality Conte wants, if we go after only younger players we will need to spend 300-400m, which we probably don't have. So it makes sense to get a few old players on a cheap enabling us to focus the larger part of our budget on 2-3 quality young players.

Did anyone see Kolarov in the Seriba match a couple of days ago?

Regardless though, he would be the best LB Inter has signed since prob Roberto Carlos.

I've always liked Kolorov, but it's a shame to pick him up at the ass end of his career. When will we learn ?

Until a LB is signed long term he will do, i am fine with Perisic as a wing back though, but if he plays on the right then one on the left is needed.

I see no harm other than they would suck immediately and we would just have to suck it up and pay out the contract.

Which is fine really, these are like pocket change compared to what’s paid for young players.

Yes, that rumored 3-year contract to Dzeko sounds quite bad. What if the happy path doesn't happen? Dzeko isn't that good and after the first year we are counting the years his contract runs out.

I think Ausilio signed a deal with Juve not to waste any chances of destroying Inter by signing players who are the very end of their career. Otherwise, why would he even go back to Roma after losing Zanilo for the long gone Nainngolan.

10m+Merola for both Dzeko and Kolarov? That sounds a tad too cheap, unless Merola is meant to be another Zaniolo? Even if he is, between Pinamonti and Lautaro he'd never see game time here anyway.

I think the only similarity would be, that he would also only stay one season. But unlike Carlos he won't leave go to Real Madrid after a year ...

Does that matter? the LB position has ben in crisis ever since the 90s. Any player that comes in and tries to do something there will be a legend to me. That position is cursed. Like i said Kolarov has been great for years, if he comes even for a year and becomes a rotational piece thats good enough. Give him a year + and option that would be activated if he does well.

Kolarov at the age of 33 is better than everyone who has played at LB position at Inter in the past two decades apart from Zanetti.

We're in no position to complain specially after all the Dalbert's and Wome's that we've been signing. I know that we should've signed him like 46 years ago and I'm pissed about it but late is better than never given our horrendous history of LBs. Kolarov also can take freekicks which is a huge plus for a team that lacks one.

Kolarov would be an awesome signing, best LB in SA after Sandro.

Also, in a 352, I can easily see him playing more LCB than LWB...him and Perisic would be a combo tbh.

On top of that jis free kicks are better than anyone we’ve had since Sneijder...

Would be a good signing for 2 years if you ask me

i can't stand the thought of Dzeko coming to Inter on a three year contract worth 6 million a year.

Actually, I can't stand the thought of Dzeko full stop.
