Yeah I don't think we bough Dodo in as a back up. I didn't think it when it was a loan with option at 6.5 and I don't think it now that it's essentially a purchase for 9. Hopefully he can hit the ground running, god knows how hard it is for Inter players once they been labeled by our fans.

to me it seems like a smart deal... we arent paying the 9 millions this year, so calm down. he is a player with great potential, that is rare nowadays on the left back position, thus his price is just right... its beyond me how people can mock when we get a player that played decent minutes for a side that proceeded to the champions league in a very convincing manner to be honest.

in the very best case by 2016 we will play champions league and dodo will be starting material, so by then 7,8 millions will look like peanuts

people really underestimate wingbacks in mazzaris system, dude loves his wingbacks, so give him his wingbacks if you give him a contract

Don't overreact. The whole '2 year loan but full transfer payment after one game' clause seems unnecessary, so just treat it as it is, which is pretty much an outright transfer for $9m for a young and highly promising wing back. You can debate that it's too high a fee or whatever, but that's another discussion all together.

Where the hell is D'Ambrosio moving to then, a modelling agency?

A very risky, almost idiotic deal regarding the potential purchase obligation. I'm trying to be optimistic though and hope that he'll do well, which is difficult after the last few years.

4 wing backs for 2 positions, sounds like healthy competition to me. IMO what's the point of a 2 year loan deal if we're gonna pay for him outright once he plays.

Why not just buy him now? Is this to balance the books? Do we not want it to count towards this year? Is that the main point of it? If so, anybody want to explain how it's an advantage? This is a little over my head.

We are still saving money for our forward transfer, considering this will be paid in 2 years, this can either be a bargain, or be a pain in the ass. I want to think this will be a bargain.

Why is everyone overreacting now? Think of this deal as a purchase rather than a loan and it will be just fine. Surely we did overpay, but the overpayment can be offset by the delay of payment. In the end, what we got is a very talented player, try optimistic about that.

I don't see why everyone is complaining about this deal.

I think I noticed something most of you guys may have overlooked. It says we have to pay 7.5 M when he plays an official game for us. However, if he doesn't play an official game, we wouldn't need to pay that money.

So in 2 years, he would just come to Inter to train?

Maybe we can throw him to primavera?? Does a primavera game counts as an official game?

He will have time to get used to our facilities, training methods, and become familiar with our players who will be the foundation for our future like Guarin, Kuzmanovic, and Jonathan.

This way, in 2 years, he can join us for free and we'll have a player who is well settled and familiar with everyone.

Am I correct in assuming that the €7.8mil won't need to be paid for 2 years even if he starts the first game of the season?

If so, that's way better than paying €9mil off the bat:

I liked the signing. If he plays what he played last year for Roma, will most probably push Nagatomo to the right and become a starter.

Plus we have two years to pay his transfer fee, so we can save money to get a striker on this transfer window.

what is the essence of biraghi who had his greatest professional career so far in catania last season?

what is the essence of mbaye who also had his greatest professional football career in livorno so far?

Generally, what is the essence of our youth team players when we prefer pursuing other youth club players and overpaying for them?
I think our primavera should be removed since they are useless to the first team.
The most painful thing in this deal is that we overpayed(9m) for this guy while the money can be used to purchse other options like vrsaljko, santon and gabriel silva who are far better and more promising, in fact, financial-wise we can keep the money(For other investment) and bring back back biraghi and mbaye who had greater last season and will cost us zero fee.

I will give credit to sabatini-genius who outplayed ausilio and showed he his a better pro.

What? 7,8m€ needs to be paid after two years (when loan period ends), if Dodo has played in a single match during that loan period. We pay 1,2m€ for the loan.

I'd also question why the fuck do we use 9m€ for a player who cost almost nothing to Roma and we can't use our own youth players ever. Roma wanted to get rid of Dodo because they wanted better players for his position. They get 9m€ for dumping the unwanted player.

Sabatini really outplayed Ausilio in this one. Simply outrageous rape in transfer market.
