What??? You gotta be kidding me! He was saying he is a free agent and he was linked with Chelsea.

I only see him mentioned on two articles from goal.com and if there is anything good they do is reporting fake and true about star players. So if there was a renewal, it would have been mentioned.

Dede: Chelsea Have Been In Contact
5/9/2005 12:07:00 PM

Borussia Dortmund left-back Dede has claimed that Chelsea have contacted him over a possible move.
"I had been in contact with them twice, the first one was one-and-a-half months ago and the second one about two weeks ago," the 27-year-old told Bild.

"In order to play in England I must have played in three quarters of Brazil’s international games or hold an EU-passport and I can’t offer that, but Chelsea claimed that they’d look for ways to naturalise me in Germany.

"Chelsea wanted to call me again - and inform Dortmund about their interest, but I haven’t heard anything from them ever since."

And here is one from october where we are actually linked with him:

Dedè Open To Stuggart Move
10/25/2004 10:36:00 AM

Stuggart boss Matthias Sammer admitted he would love to have Borussia wing Dedè on his team.
“We spoke recently. I know he will be free at the end of this season, but didn’t take any concrete decisions,” said Sammer, who coached Dedè during his reign at the Brazlian’s current club.

Also Dedè revealed he is open to a possible Stuggart move.

“They are a very interesting club with a very prepared coach. I owe a lot to Sammer and we are good friends,” he said.

The 26 year old Brazilian is also being eyed by Inter.

There are a few players, however, who we haven't been linked to, but are on the way out, or the club won't mind letting go of with some cash in return.
These players are:

G.Milito: Zaragoza have told Liverpool and Manchester United that with a firm bid, he'll be theirs.

J.Andrade: With a Deportivo team in a revolution, Andrade hasn't seemed happy for a while, and frankly, Deportivo would negotiate for any of their players at the time.

Ibanez: Although Perea is much better, rumours have suggested that if Perea joins either one of Barcelona or Real, Ibanez will want to leave, too.

G. Rodriguez: Had a great season in Villareal, but recently suggested that he wouldn't mind moving abroad, but now that they're in the CL, and Riquelme full time, I can't see it happening.

R. Rocha: Better than Luisao @ Benfica, IMO, has been a solid defender for a while, and is most likely leaving, maximum 4 milion.

P.Lahm: As good as he is, Bayern just don't have room for him, even with Magath who is in favour of Lizarazu and Rau. Lahm will be the best left back in the world by miles one day, and with no coach at Stuttgart, where else may he have? Me druels at this prospect...maybe we could have another Brehme????

I love Lahm too, and he is the best LB nowadays IMO. However, he will be out for 6 months, and Lizarazu signed on for a year to replace him and stick around until he is back.

I was a early fan of Parisi, start of the season, but I haven't seen him much since. Anyway, I think Juventus pretty much have him all wrapt up, he went on their Japanese tour, didn't he?
I think that pretty much proves that with Parisi and Chiellini, Zambrotta will move up the ground.

Yeah, Hamed, shame that was with Lahm, but Bayern Munich still have Tobias Rau, don't they? He's young and pretty good, one will have to leave.

How can Juve take a relatively good player, try him and then decide whether they want him or not? Damn those Zebras, they know how to make deals. We could never pull such a thing :depress:

Maybe but if I'm not wrong, England always let more goals in than Italy (WCs, ECs, etc.)

Colombia and USA (they suck) manage to score a few easy goals against England a few weeks ago.

My point is I don't think Serie A defenders are overrated, they are good, Nesta is the best for example. BUt what you said about the tactics is true. (not always = Inter)

Those were friendly games (Backups playing mostly for both teams) and Rio did not play. I think Rio would do great with us.

Gonzalo Sorondo?

I've seen Sorondo play for us when he first came into the squad. Although he's awkward on the tackle at times and his positioning sense needs to be improved, I think he might be a good squad player and can improve our defence with the imminent departure of Gamara.

I haven't seen him play with Palace this season. For those of you who have seen him, how was his performance?Would it be worth it to bring him back instead of splashing out money for more defenders (I realize that we're going to have at least one "world class" defender coming in but I don't think this should hault Sorondo's entry)?

We don't need him, our motto for next season should be "NO HALF-ASS SOLUTIONS"

We have Cordoba, new CD, Miha and maybe Materazzi if his highness accepts a bench role. Sorondo should look to play elsewhere, enough screwing around.

Samuel all the way. Chivu only if Real Madrid won't see Samuel. If we can't get one of those two then I guess Alex or Luisao are others options but I prefer experienced Serie A defenders partnering Cordoba.

I haven't heard much about any LB's being linked to Inter though. Evra would be my main choice but there's other good ones out there.

How was Ujfalusi this year with Viola? He was good with Hamburg, and everyone around the club was upset when he was sold.

Well he was okay, but he played as a defensive midfielder at times too.
He was okay, but sh1t by his standards, what I'm referring to is that remember at the start of the season he said that he was better than Nesta?
LOL, farking clown.

well if the rumour is right about that we have agreed to loan Samuel for this campain and with an option to buy then we only have too look for a LB now my hunch say it will be Evra.

But if it's right that there would be a surprice then Samuel is it, I would never have expected us too get him and especially not on loan.

our defence

J.Zanetti, Cordoba, Samuel, ???/Evra/Dede

:lick:   our defence is gonna rule

Since we are discussing abt Samuel in the other thread, just let me say here one more thing - plz get a decent LB. Favalli will be here with us, but as a back up. We need a very good left back, with all the respect to Favalli. :)
