Just compare his response to the shot with our forwards. Alexis couldn't time his run so it would be offside. Arna was thinking about which geriatric clinic he should visit. Even Lautaro did not react like Frattesi, but he was too tired carrying our attack so I let it slides. Meanwhile, Frattesi prowled around the box with predatory instinct for a goal and he deservedly pounced the rebound. Good job.
Barella's shot was weak, and thanks to their gk, we were lucky that it led to a goal.

Yeah Barella did great, he is usually good at hitting the ball on the volley but even here, the shot came off the crossbar with a lot of powerand while everybody had their head in their hand, he was still switched on and managed to hit the target.

Lol. This shot to be taken and hit the target is quite difficult. I'd say that Barella did great.
Yea thanks to their gk it was so great, like this one

Probably never played a min of football in your life if you think hitting a volley like that was easy.

Don't take it personally, I've played some football, and that shot seemed kinda weak to me. Just my take, but I don't really see him as a shooter, even not as good as Hakan.

Well obviously, Hakan is probably neck to neck with Dimarco when it comes to long range shooting in the squad

Seeing how many slaps he got on his ass, I'm afraid the entire team maybe gay :yao2:
Actually ass slapping is a part of the team sports culture ever since I was a wee lad in the '90s. Maybe even before that. In basketball it's usually followed by "good hustle" and can even come from a player you are playing against.

In football it's more of a teammate thing, since you are around these people most days it's kinda a bonding thing. It might be the most homoerotic thing next to seeing two dudes kissing we see in sports, but both are quite common and have nothing to do with being gay or associated to homoerotic feelings. Sure, there might be a hidden homosexual projecting, but I would count that as rare exceptions.

It's not like you are groping somebody, it's just a friendly slap.

Frattesi was playing on the right wing when he got subbed on right? I had a friend over watching the game with me, so a little distracted but iirc Sanchez was put on as an attacking and Frattesi as a wingback.

Not sure. I just assumed we were going to play a 4-3-1-2 given we also removed a centreback.

What does this guy has to do to play as a start in at least one game every 3?
score a hatrick in the 10 minutes he is on the field?

Pathetic treatment to one of our future top players.

He's not there yet. It's nice that he's able to score, but in overall he hasn't adjusted properly yet. We are almost a different team with Frattesi or even Asllani in the match. There's a huge gap between these two and other starters in midfield.

I even said a while ago. One of Inzaghi's biggest tasks is to work on Frattesi's development because he looks in desync with the rest of teammates. There's plenty of room for improvement.

But of course he has to get some opportunities as a starter in matches with less importance.

Why does he need to start when he can be a sub and still score goals?

Frattesi is good but Mkhi, Chala and Barella don't deserve bench either

He was good enough against Lazio, and for me is obvious that his problem is the confidence. He is different player than Barella or Mkhitaryan, but yesterday he did well his runs with the ball and he was quite active. He is also the biggest goalscoring thread of all of our midfielders. With our upcoming tight schedule, it will be silly by Inzaghi if he doesn't use him as a starter.

I never said to bench Cala/Barella/Mikhi, but to rotate a bit more each 3-4 games, in the same way Madrid do with Kroos/Modric/Camavinga/Tchouameni.

Looks at him running from our penalty area to be the first option for Mkhi, his sense of space and opportunity is good. If he doesn’t complain of his playing time, why should I. His game is different and brings another dimension and speed to our game, it’s good when thing becomes predicted.
