By far the most disappointing player tonight. I’m a long way from giving up hope, but currently he doesn’t seem like a midfielder who’s suited to play as a mezzala in our lineup.

I’d like to see him tested as a forward or winger.

So far biggest dissapointment this season. We brought him to be our top player. Hope he can do better than this.

I'm starting to get there, based on what I'm reading on his performance today and every other time he's been given minutes.

He was playing much advanced at Sassulo, pretty much as an attacking mid. Here he is in line with our second midfielder and just a little in front of the defensive one. Either Inzaghi starts playing him more upfront, or he wont do a lot here.

He does get a lot more chances than everyone else, such as Asllani. Inzaghi seems to prefer deploying Mkhitaryan as the SS (in an emergency sistuation), but I still think Frattesi would be more suited for that assignment.

Don't have one.
Don't think he has it in him to break into first eleven, his playing style won't allow it. He isn't comfortable on the ball, nor is he a midfielder inclined to have a ball in his possession, all things that go contrary to inzaghi ball.

For me, he is still more than fine as a bench option, but something tells me he won't be particularly happy with that come next season.

He cannot play as a striker, it is different than getting into scoring position; however, I think he can solve our striker crisis by playing 3-6-1 with Mihki or Klassen running from behind as well.

While I agree with all points there I am definitely not fine with a 30+ mil player warming the bench because he cannot fit in. Brozo was allegedly sold to make room for this guy and he is way off. I am not the kind to expect fireworks but he is a very expensive gamble for us that we are losing at this point. I simply dont see any improvement in him connecting with the team/our game ( actually see some improvements in Asllani in that regards but not him ).

Did Inzaghi let him start with our best 11 ever? All I remember is him starting in the reserve team against some weaker side in not-important matches.

That's a good point and is true for a lot of our backups. Most of the time when they start, it's usually in a heavily-rotated team.

I believe the only time Fratessi started with our 'first 11' was the away match versus Empoli.

He is actually better paired with Barella than deputing him, or even better playing one touch football with Klaassen like yesterday, but the whole midfield will transform into another play style, also with Darmian instead of Dumfries on his end, he can do more of the running than Damian, with Frattesi, it is much rarer and harder for us to slowly bring the ball forward and pin the opponent at the final third; or the other usual play we do is build from behind and the other team over pressed and there is a gap between their d-line and midfield and we do a long pass with a striker drop back to lay off and transit forward.

With Frattesi regardless who plays around, he doesn't help doing any of the things above, he helps defending well, and either we can a breakthrough and he dashes to the other end and get ready to score, or he helps the breakthrough with dribbling, but he rarely drops back as an extra pivot (or not enough), or getting ready for a lay off and set up others, cycle the ball back when the opponents' positions are not advantages for us to try.

I have a feeling if we had Esposito yesterday instead of Arna, or we play without Toro and an extra midfielder (Sensi up front), we would convert goals before 90 mins ended.

Bro, you are doing ok. With limited minutes you play, you are ahead of Miki, Hakan and Barella on scoring and assists. here it is.

Came on purportedly recovering from the flu, didn't raise Inter's temperature one bit when he entered the match.

He got big knock, no need to blame him for being invisible tonight, whole team was bad. But overall, I expected much more from him. So far not so good, he obviously lost confidence, this is not Frattesi from Milano derby.

He should play more. Imo, in this stage of season Inzaghi should do more rotations. Not like the one vs Benfica when he changed the entire line up, but its ok to start with Frattessi and Asllani sometime.

Because of Pavard injury we found Bisscek is a good RB.
Because of Toro injury, Arna finally got his time to show he's decent back up.

We don't need to wait for Hakan, Barella or Mikhi to get injured. Frattesi and Asllani can be veru useful playes, just let them play.

He was sick. It's not optimal to go running after barely recovering, let alone play football at pro level.

He would play the same minutes if he was 100% healthy. Either play him for 5 straight games from the start or sell him. No point in wasting a 30M player on the bench, that can somehow play great in serie a for years and is playing great for italy, but he somehow cant play for us. What was the point in even buying him? And with the mkhitaryan renewing you already know he wont be starting next year. What a waste of money.

Then it was stupid to send him on the pitch. Didn't matter once Sanchez came on Inzaghi essentially threw in the towel.
