Like i wrote on this thread Frattesi is new Gosens of this team. He just doesnt shtick to Limoneball. In other team(playing like City or similiar style) this guy would be killing already.

Gosens was unlucky on his Inter adventure. Since he came back from that long term injury, he had to compete with Perisic whom was going through best form of his life, and then Dimarco whom has leveled up his game like hell.

His limited playing time made things even worse as it was almost impossible to break into starting eleven.

Football is all about timing and position and Gosens was in neither of it.

He reminds me a lot of former Roma midfielder Simone Perotta. Knew how to score and get into scoring positions but was absolutely mid at everything else. Hopefully he turns out to be much more than that.

Bad first half but improved in second.

But still poor tbh. Looks poor in confidence to me, almost every time made a wrong first touch going backwards instead of pushing forward and spending the energy in a proper way. He doesn't have Barella's intelligence, I can live with that, but at least he needs to take advantage of his attributes like fighting spirit, good stamina and also goal instincts. He doesn't though.

I thought today was better from him. It might just take some time with him. He's not a technical quick thinking midfielder that you can just put in any system and he'll figure it out on the fly. He's going to need to learn to play in our system from memory. However, once he does understand all the movements he can be dangerous because of his physical attributes and knack for putting himself in good positions to score.

Should have scored again today. Also had some dangerous balls into the box that on another day could have resulted in better chances. He does impact the game, when he is in the final 3rd. It's the stuff outside of that where we need to see growth.

I think he needs more time as a starter and more time overall to get used to the system, without the need of "thinking". He was decent in the second half imo. He won two yellow cards on RB players, and brought some urgency on the right flank which was missing before. He had some good defensive plays as well.
As a right profile for our team, Reijnders from Milan looks more suited to me.

Frattesi got a 5/10 from me, he looked better but still looks indecisive and a bit out of sync. Mkhitaryan is at least in sync with our team even if he plays badly. As long Frattesi keeps playing, gets that confidence and keeps it simple, he'll grow and get into the groove.

With how the games are set up and us still being in 3 competitions, he'll play a lot anyway.

Tbf he used left foot to shoot in his missed chance yesterday, obviously not good. Other than that we controlled back the match as he growed overtime, after 30 mins I didn’t feel much threat from Salzburg.

Maybe I'm being wrong, but sometimes I think that if we don't manage to keep the ball the last 15 minutes of a game when we have the lead, it's because of this guy. He's not technically skilled like Nicolo, Mikhi or Hakan and more of a runner and a contributor, we can't rely on him to keep the ball, calm everyone and making the right passes.

His strengths are elsewhere.

If he didn't "pass" to Lautaro against Real Sociedad and if he didn't score a goal against Milan, he would be getting destroyed right now.

I see the potential, but he will have to modify how he positions, how he passes,.. he'll get there

Had to go check his numbers.

Frattesi having 4 assist (+ a goal) already, that is good. Just means there is potential there for him to grow to be even better.

Stats are good, it's just how he plays that needs to be better, so that we don't lose the control of games.

Agreed. He’s just not in sync with the movements of his teammates and doesn’t get involved in the build up often enough. This isn’t very unexpected. His output will still be there at the end of the day so we should show him some patience.

I'm not gonna judge him at least after 7 to 10 consecutive starting games with at least ~60 minutes each.

Because he was bought for that type of judgement, not as 2m sub.

I just saw his goal. It's was nice control and shoot. I still didn't watch the second half, but he was clumsy in the first one. I guess it's normal, as all of the midfield and attack was consisted from back ups.

Yeah it was very well taken shot. He was terrible in the first half, ball-watching the goals in prime positions. But this "he was terrible in the first half" could be said about any of our players. Then we can say "much better in the second half", which applies to Frattesi aswell (which was not hard since the first half was so terrible :D )

He had fair shared blame for all three concealed goals yesterday, stayed too far from Joao Mario and reacted slowly in all occasions but also had nice key pass to Arnautovic’s chance in first half.

He assisted to Thuram for the penalty as well. Anyway, I think he needs to improve his first touch. It's not like Lukaku's but it's a bit heavy for our style of play.

I do not like his overall contribution and dont see him as a starter but cant deny his eye for goal.
