I agree Suazo not only has the pace but also the techniques and finish that Martins lacks

Yeah Suazo is stronger and he can score, those the things Martins really lacked but mostly his finishing.

Martins is 3-4 years younger than Suazo, even at that I don't see him ever having the technique Suazo has. When you look at Suazo take his strides when he's on the ball you feel 10 times more secure than when Martins did it because everytime Martins started dribbling I would always get this feeling that he's losing the ball for sure.

C.Ronaldo (even though he doesn't play striker at United) is one of the fastest for sure.

Yeah Ronaldo's pretty fast but I think what's impressive about his speed is that it doesn't slow down very much with the ball at his feet. I think Suazo is faster though.

Suazo is faster than Ronaldo... The only player I see faster than Suazo is Martins... However, Martins doesn't have the tehnique and finishing like Suazo, as many people said this before... I was just joking when I said Martins is a lot younger than Suazo... ;)

If you are referring to Jefferson Farfan (Peru/PSV) I don't think he is as fast in terms of pure speed. He is certainly more technically gifted than both Martins and Suazo though.

To me right now in terms of pure speed it's 1) Suazo, 2) Martins, then everyone else, again many are technically better.

To find players that are as fast or faster I would have to include all other field positions, for example Shaun Wright-Phillips of Chelsea.

Speed isn't everything guys, specially in football, but it counts for a lot. Moreover, you can't teach speed and the reason Suazo is such a threat is because well...defenders can't keep up. Wait till everyone starts fouling him instead of just letting him fly by. This is the reason why he won so many PK's at Cagliari, and the reason why about half of his goals were not from the run of play.

Have you ever seen Man Utd? Sure, he's no slouch- but to compare someone like him to the likes of Eto'o, Farfan, Martins, and Suazo is a complete farce.

For me speed on the ball is more important than off it. CR is amazing at that. Actually i dont know anyone in the world who can control a ball and go foward with such speed and control of the ball yet still be able to show so little of it to the opposing team.

Exactly, and even off the ball CR7 would keep up with the likes of Eto'o no problem bro. Have YOU ever seen him play? Don't try and make me look stupid man.

Yes, I have seen him play. You have a good point on the on-the-ball speed; however, I still think Martins/Suazo/ETo'o are faster than him in a plain track race or plain off-the ball scenario. That said, I see Suazo has been helping us a lot more in these friendlies with his off-the-ball movement than his dribbling and speed running towards goal.

Suazo's biggest quality is the strides he takes because defenders don't expect them to be that quick and that accurate. When he takes on a defender he pushes the ball and any other player would have lost it but because of his speed he takes quick strides and is in full control of the ball. This is why he wins alot of fouls.

Look at how he deked the Partizan keeper to know what I'm talking about.

When it comes to pure speed Cristiano Ronaldo is not as fast as Suazo, Obafemi, or Eto'o.

Agreed. But you can't deny Ronaldo is like a ****ing gazelle on coke when he has the ball at his feet. I'd be scared out of my mind seeing that guy coming at me at full speed.

Acceleration is more important than speed IMO. CR7 and Kaka has better acceleration than Martins, and I haven't seen Suazo enough times to judge his acceleration.
