I really cant believe people are not elated about the capture of Suazo. Not only did this guy snub Milan for us but he is legitimately a wonderful player with a whole lot of skill.

I had the pleasure of watching him in that game against Milan where he absolutely tore that backline to pieces. That clip that Dario put up does not even show the number of times he would annhilate that back four with his sheer pace.

Now for something nobody has said up to now. You guys are saying we have too many strikers? Nah, Recoba will leave and he will finally have a competent strike force. Cruz doesnt mind the bench cause he gets into the games he needs to come on for. Ibra is guaranteed a spot and Crespo will fight it out with Suazo. Adriano is expired product and unless he somehow shows that he is competent enough to lead the attack one should not consider him anything more than a sub.

Now you guys are asking why Mancini signed Suazo and I think I may have figured it out. Where did we suck this past season? The CL. Why were we so pathetic you ask? Because we couldnt score any goals. In the group stage we managed to bag only 5 goals in a group with pathetic competition. Only one third placed team in the entire group stage (CSKA) scored fewer goals than us. All first and second place finishers scored more than us. Not to mention the fact that 6 out of 8 fourth place finishers scored as many or more goals than us. So we squeezed past the group stage and came up against Valencia, where again all we needed was a goal for our team to go through. You would think with the wealth of strikers at our disposal one would be able to bag himself a goal. Nope our only 2 goals came from a midfielder and fullback.

No matter what way you look at it we are below average at the top and despite the names on the team sheet in attack we need someone up front with a slightly different dynamic. Someone that is not only going to be able to have the pace but also the touch to break through the holes that opposing backlines leave in European competition. That player is hopefully Suazo and when you look at it in that way Suazo's signing makes perfect sense.

Dude you can't make everyone happy. They could have brought Messi, Ronaldinho, Tevez and Quagliarella, and they still would have complained.

Some people.

I couldn't agree more.

I can only add one more point, most European teams don't play like Serie A teams. They leave few spaces in their defence. This is also why Suazo is important.

We've got him for a bargain, I think the attack department is complete. We should sign anyone else only if we sell Adri.

I wouldn't say sell Adri, just loan him out and see how he is in a year. In the meantime get another striker i.e. Tevez or someone just as fast.

To make our attacking much more dangerous we also need a good AM that can can get a bit creative with the ball, and **** up the program.

He won't be a sub. He'll be a starter, probably next to Ibra. Maybe not from day one but four or five league matches into the season.

Agreed Adam. It will take time for him to gel with his team mates but our extensive pre season match line up plus the fact that Crespo will just be coming back from injury will give him a lot of room to prove himself this summer.

I really hope it goes well for him, if he and Zlatan can set up a telepathic communication on the pitch opposing teams better watch out.

Wow even though most of us criticise our un active transfer market which isn't half bad if you think about it. We can see we have a dreamy attack lol Suazo, Crespo, Adriano, Ibra and Cruz this could be the attack that makes all defenses tremble :D

I cant wait to watch suazo. He's such an awesome and exciting player and has all the qualities forwards should have. Speed streghth playmaking finishing, dribbling, and set pieces, not to mention he has a wonderful shot, Theirs videos on youtube.com which he single handedly kills teams, ex. one where he just rapes milan. If you watch the videos you will see what damage he can do with players around him that can create and more importantly finish.

Forza inter! Forza Suazo!

non EU spot only applies when we get a player outside of serie A.
Therefore Suazo does not count, but I think Ribas does.

Agreed Waleed. The other point that we need to do is to find a sub/understudy for Ibra - by the time we get to Feb-March, Ibra wud hv played close to 25-30 matches and him being used regularly - there can be a dip in form arising from playing regularly and tiredness.

To do well in CL we need another creative player, who can alternate with Ibra to keep him fresh as well as push him the extra mile.

Mancini seems to think that bloke can be Cassano. I agree.

No 1919, if you think getting Cassano will win us the CL you're wrong. I used to want Cassano badly and you all know this, but now that we got Suazo and Adri is getting back in shape...getting a player who's in bad form and bad condition would be stupid...especially since we have 6 forwards.

Now we're looking to offload some forwards (Cruz/Chino), not buy anymore. Creative players? Riquelme, Diego etc. and getting them would be a bonus, not a necessity. At this point, with the depth in the squad we have, there isn't any necessities because we have a class player in every position.
