You get what you pay for. Why should I complain about a back up player who's earning little salary and usually up there when needed? He's also not a walking disaster like Muntari or Ranocchia. I'd prefer complaining about those who earn way higher salary than what they actually offer like Melo and Kondo.

The only reason Candreva was that far back was because he was tracking Milic, D'Ambrosio was tracking Bernadeschi and had followed him far too centrally and by the time Badedj played the ball up, D'Ambrosio was in no mans land.

Looked at times tonight like he was playing as the RCB in the 3 man backline. Pioli definitely instructed him to come more central and try and win 2nd balls in the midfield. It actually worked but we got caught out on the Kalinic goal.

True. Some people here have unreasonable predispositioned hate against some players and nothing the players will do will change that. A good example (apart from D'Ambrosio) is Melo yesterday, he played fine and didn't make any mistake but he kept getting insulted by some people here before, during and after he played. Another example is J. Mario. He missed a horrible chance but if Kondogbia had missed the same one, the entire forum would've been on his back.

I'm not sure that was completely his fault because in some periods he moved in the center of the defense, so we played with 3 CB. Maybe it is about to instructions given.

I think we tried something tactical and with Piolis limited time it failed us on this occasion. I dont know if there is one set person to blame but more shared across a few. I think Pioli deserves some blame, D'Ambro and Candreva. I'm not easy with the fact that Cendreva should have been picking up that player. Also D'Ambro because he was instructed to play a different role. As well with Pioli, he had a tactic and it was working but this was literally the only time it was exploited.

He gets a lot of stick but I think he's been pretty good the last few games. The score also would have been very different against Genoa if he didn't block both shot/crosses on goal.. Him and Candreva on the right wing has worked better than expected and he's gotten better upfront.

Still need a proper RB that's consistently good.
