It was an awful decision for sure. The actual pass was irrelevant because it was basically impossible to reach any targets. Sanchez waa behind two defenders and Lukaku behind one in a spot where he couldn't be reached in any possible way unless you're some world class passer. Eriksen was the obvious choice but what can you do. Dumbo is a bit limited in that regard.

I often have this nightmare that Dambro will bench Hakimi too next year.... its scary.

I respect the guy but he should never play in an advanced position. Only coaches like Conte and unfortunately Allegri too can do this.

I am surprised he is still played as LWB. I guess in the last couple of games it was to give our right side more protection against the likes of Gosens and Cucu.

Before this season started when some here were relishing the prospect of a 3 man defence of Skriniar, Godin and De Vrij, I was convinced that D'Ambrosio will make the RCB starting position his own this season. Coz thats what Conte did so successfully with Azpilicueta at Chelsea, it made transitions from defence to attack so much more effective. I am still surprised that hasn't happened, coz in the few games D'Ambrosio has played at RCB he has looked like our best player for that role.

IMO our best 3 man defence right now is Bastoni - De Vrij - D'Ambrosio

I love Danilo and he's slotted greatly as a RCB but can he stop 1st touch passing (hail marying) the ball whenever he's under pressure? Maybe it's a Conte istruction for his lack of technical skill? It makes sense to lose the ball in the opponents half (when he does just hoof the ball trying to find either of our strikers) rather than in our own on the wing but geez is it frustrating considering he does it quite often. Mind you they do work like once in 5.

You always think his time is over, we bought like 6-8 players to replace him but even after many years he ends up as a starter and even becoming a goal machine.

He shouldnt be starter at a club like Inter but his lion heart and balls of steal safed us a few times! I like him. He costed us 5 million and is a decent squad player.
