His free kicks and corners have been better since the break.

We were focused on others after last night shitshow but it needs to be said he had a really good game. One of his best performances at Inter. I still think we need a starting left wingback. Biraghi isn't good enough to start for Inter against upper mid-table teams (let alone top teams).

Here we go again. He confirmed my post only few days later. He gets exposed whenever we face a decent team. I am ok with him staying only as a third option.

If he stays even as a third option, it means we paid for a 28 years player with 0 talent and who never played more than 40 games for any team in his career because of how bad he is.
We should use our money for something else, people like Biraghi are going to end up staying here for years. D'ambrosio looks like a legendary full back compared to him.

tbf another way to look at it is he's an italy international ;-) - more caps than Dambro..

Frankly a pretty uninspiring performance. It irks me a bit when he pushed Bastoni away in his goal celebration. Yea dude wanted to kiss the Inter badge but it just came off as a very rude and egoistic gesture.

he has scored 3 goals and made 4 assists so far. tbh, it's quite difficult to asses him. many times he performs below average but on some other occasions he manages to contribute to team play. it's unpopular opinion here but i think he is one of our best crosser. i can recall some of his crossing almost become assists if it wasnt for poor finishing by his team mates.

some of his running movements and positioning fit nicely with Eriksen through ball. it's a gamble to keep Biraghi next season but i would do it as long we dont have a proven better replacement.

No is not unpopuolar. He has a great left foot and can cross very well. Hence the reason he takes free kicks before Eriksen when he plays.
He is the Dambrosio of the left wing , meaning that he has some assets but the fact that he can never get past his defender through a dribbling makes him useless in the winger position.

If we could find a way to have him here once Young retires to cover the position of the LM back up would be great being him club trained.

Exactly. Italian players age well. Won't count on Biraghi as a starter. But as a D'ambrosio type of backup, he's superb for this role. Not to mention he's club-trained.

If we can swap him to Dalbert that would be fine. I don't think Fiorentina has interest in investing Dalbert with pure cash. Biraghi is serviceable against the shitters of Serie A. That's fine for us for now.

The problem is that we extended Young which means that after buying (hopefully) a starting LWB next year we would have 3 players for the same position which is too much. Hopefully , as i said before , we can find a deal to park him somewhere for 1 more year until Young retires/leaves.

Young can be the multiposition backup for WBs. Better to you have Biraghi in the squad and in CL list (club trained status) than some kid who will get no minutes.
