Argentina lost 1-0 and Uruguay won Ecuador 2-1. Forlan and Morales scored crackers in both matches.
The coming match between Arg and Urug will be a must see.

Shame about Arg but it sets up the last games nicely - Mexico will prob beat Ecuador and go through so the Urg v Arg is def the one to watch.

I feel bad for Costa Rica coz they started so well and had some chances and were keeping Brasil pretty quiet. Then Adriano struck and it was always gonna be downhill from there. Still I am happy for Adriano, great to see him scoring :star:

Adriano - #10
I was definately impressed by Adriano, and I think he can play on the right pretty well if needed. He will cut in a lot to score though...
And he also didn't let me down in his moves :star: Great performance.

MILAN - Stop the world, there's Adriano. Brazil has suddenly discovered the talents of the centre-forward, who has equalled Pelè's 45-year-long record of scoring three goals in one Copa America game.

Adriano was man of the match in Brazil 4-1 Costa Rica. He has won over the Brazil fans and with this hat-trick can send three important messages across the Atlantic. Three black and blue messages...

"Yes, the first goal was one of the best I have scored. I trapped the ball magnificently so I could dribble the keeper then shoot hard," said Adriano. "I'm dedicating it to Moratti and the Inter fans. I want to tell them that I'm working well and I will return stronger than ever, with even more desire than ever to lead Inter to success.

"I scored the second with my head, something I'm improving. I'm also working on my right foot in training. I can already trap the ball excellently with my right foot and I'll soon be able to shoot well and score a lot of goals. I dedicate this second goal to Mancini. After lots of chasing we are finally together. He wanted me at Fiorentina at all costs, but when I arrived in Florence he had just left. I want to discover his vision of football and do great things together with him.

"The third goal was lucky. After a rebound the ball fell to me and I scored. It wasn't a beautiful goal but it was important because it meant I had scored a historic hat-trick, which I dedicate to all Inter's opponents - Milan, Juventus, Roma. This is a message to tell them that this year will be much tougher and that I will return with the right motivation to win the championship. This new Inter can do it at last."

:proud: :proud: :proud: :proud: :proud: :proud: :proud: :proud: :proud: :proud: :proud: :proud: :proud: :proud: :proud: :proud: :proud: :proud: :proud: :proud: :proud: :proud: :proud: :proud: :proud: :proud: :proud: :proud: :proud: :proud: :proud: :proud: :proud: :proud:

but u can't forget the brazilian coach (U-21) or ??, who picked Adriano for youth world cup, even though he was being benched in his club....

and yes, we had a major hand in discovering the talent though

:) ;)

Oh man, Adriano has just been unstoppable as of late. At the end of the regular season, he was scoring as if there's no tomorrow. And now, in the Copa America, he's keeping up his high standard. If we have this Adriano for the next season, God better have some mercy to the Serie A defenders...NOT!!! :D
