I liked him today, not that he did anything amazing.

100% better than seeing Gagsy in there.

I think he should have stayed instead of Brozovic. The latter lost his cool and was poor in the last third of the game.

Anyway with Brozovic, Barella and Eriksen we control the midfield pretty good. If Inter switch to 4-3-1-2 with some good AM (wouldn't mind even De Paul), we can play really sexy football.

I still don't like him in the defense phase. He just don't suit the 3-5-2.

He doesn't suit it and he's not that good in defence phase for sure. But for the most part of the match against Juve, we were controlling the game and that's where Eriksen excels. That "two directors" system worked very well yesterday as Eriksen's passing and ball control is so effortless. Brozo's clumsiness was almost like visible yesterday compared to Eriksen's smooth ball handling. In matches like this, that midfield is good. What he didn't bring though is what Vidal brings to the table, which is the aggressiveness and runs to the box. Specially the latter was needed yesterday as our setup in their box was way too static when we poured those crosses in.

But hopefully Conte keeps using Eriksen more, depending on the opponent. Aggressive midfields are no-go for Eriksen, but matches like yesterday are perfect for him (funny that matches like yesterday was a match against freaking Juventus).

Yeah, SMS-Lucas-Luis Alberto would eat this Inter version of Eriksen alive on Sunday.

Yeah there's no way Eriksen starts against Lazio. It will be Gagliardini or Vidal if he's ready.

And in all honestly against that midfield I prefer Vidal instead of Eriksen from the start. Eriksen could be subbed in if need to.

I prefer Eriksen for Lazaio instead of Brozo. The latter is awful when is frustrated, and he was against Jubentus. I don't think he has recovered his mentality so soon. Eriksen - Vidal - Barella sounds good enough for me.

Fuck I'll laugh if Gagliardini starts.

According to Italian outlet Calciomercato (h/t Daily Mail), Chelsea have contacted Inter Milan over a swap transfer deal involving Christian Eriksen and Jorginho.

The talks are in early stages but said to be steadily progressing. The former Tottenham midfielder joined Inter in January last year.

However, he has seen his playing time reduce in recent months under Antonio Conte. The Serie A side have been linked with Chelsea’s Italian midfielder for a while now. (h/t Daily Mail)

Conte, the former Chelsea boss, is apparently interested in bringing the midfielder to the San Siro. Knowing this, the Blues are demanding cash to be included in the swap deal as well.

Moreover, they consider Jorginho to be more valuable in the transfer market than the Danish playmaker. Chelsea would thus demand an additional £18million in the swap deal.

What these guys smoking?! Eriksen + 18mln for Jorginho :awyeah::awyeah::awyeah:

Eriksen can take matches like Fiorentina, Benevento and so on (Fiorentina in this case since they miss Castrovilli). But not Juve, Lazio, Atalanta etc.

Yeah there's no way Eriksen starts against Lazio. It will be Gagliardini or Vidal if he's ready.

Sit out the match against Fiorentina, start against Juve and Lazio. :trollol:

He was good. Involved in the penalty with that pass to Lukaku. Please, start him against Milan as well.

So all he needed was to play regularly to start showing his skill and class? Who'd have thought.

Hard to say he makes us any worse defensively. We lack a little bite in the midfield but honestly he’s gotten much better positionally since he's arrived and he’s increased his defensive workrate. He gives us a little more creativity and ball control in midfield, however we do miss Vidal’s aerial presence and tackling. Deserves a start against Milan but I wouldn’t be surprised to see Vidal come back in.

I was completely wrong about Eriksen. He has really improved his defensive aspects of the game, in terms of positioning. Physicality will never be there but there is really nothing wrong in his positioning anymore when defending. His ball playing skills are always 10x compared to Gags and also better than Vidal.

Vidal is the starter when everyone is fit but Eriksen is the immediate second option for me by now already. His ball playing ability is so good that the lack of physicality can be forgotten. Specially when Perisic plays with him like he did today.
