This. OK so he can't play as AM (still think it wasn't tried enough) but if he can play as DLP, he can certainly play as LCM in Vidal's place, imagine opposing teams having to deal with both Barella and Eriksen when we attack.

Wait what? Am I also having dementia or haven't we already tried Eriksen as LCM?

I'll say it again: considering he's playing in a new role, his positioning is really smart as well as his movements. He could be a threat if he gets more used to playing there.

Should start ahead of Brozo, which depends on how longer we could extend Conte's ban.

I thought he was MOTM last night. Eriksen's had a good month, I hope he gets more starts now.

For the first time, Brozo has got competition. Now he cannot afford to go on his annual off-mood phase.

It depends what you mean by trying, starting one or two games of ten I wouldn't call exactly trying, at the very least 5 starts in 10 games or 500 minutes is what I would considering trying.

Playing the odd game or getting sub in to play 10 minutes is setting him up to fail, not actually trying to accomplish anything.

Don't have one.
I'm waiting to see how he handles games against better opposition before I jump his hype train like majority here, mainly where he will get pressured much better. Thats where we will see if he can handle that position, cus being calm under pressure is a must if he can truly be brozo replacement in higher intensity games or even be a starter.

He absolutely should not start ahead of brozo now but if he can integrate nicely, given that conte stops being petty and actually gives Eriksen some meaningful minutes, I can see him contribute more than Brozo.

I disagree. Whilst Eriksen has better vision and passing, he's not press resistant. He doesn't have the physical qualities:

In a game like tonight with his back to goal and the threat of Bentacur and Rabiot barging into him we would lose possession in dangerous areas. Another reason is that besides Barella, Hakimi and Toro our players are pretty static.

Versus Fiore where he's afforded time to turn and scan for open players, Eriksen could start. But against a hard pressing I'd rather go with Brozo.

He should have started ahead of Brozovic. Hope Conte start him in the next two games and see how it goes. Even when he has a good game he goes to the bench next match, but there are several players who could have 10 bad games and still starts. I dont get this, but I hope Conte stop being stubborn and give Eriksen a chance to start several matches in a row and see how he does. With him on the pitch, the FKs alone could turn out as goal opportunity for us, while when he's not there the fks mean jackshit for us.

Definitely not. Brozo didn't have a good game but Brozo has the defensive ability, specially the physical aspect of it. Eriksen's physicality is non-existent.

Word. Starting Brozo against Juve was the correct decision. But it won't hurt to see Eriksen for Fiorentina and other low table teams. He's our best rotational midfield

I disagree. Maybe Eriksen doesnt have the defensive and physical aspects of Brozovic, but saying it's non-existent is exaggeration. Plus Fiorentina and Juve of this season are neither that strong that we worry about starting Eriksen. He needs to start a couple of match in a row to settle in his new position. If it doesnt work Conte is quick to take Eriksen off compare to his standard late subs. Brozovic has been poor and a starting place should not be guaranteed for him. Eriksen should start the next match against Fiorentina.

Eriksen can take matches like Fiorentina, Benevento and so on (Fiorentina in this case since they miss Castrovilli). But not Juve, Lazio, Atalanta etc.

Cunte should field Eriksen always against bottom teams, he needs more games to adapt to new role, only than he can improve and if he improves than we can talk fielding him against stronger teams. Cunte should field him against Fiore, rest Brozo for Rube. But Cunte is chicken and he is afraid of Fiore so Brozo will start.

Eriksen shouldn't be benching Brozović, he should be benching Vidal who is a fucking disaster, Barella and Brozović are one of the biggest runners in the league already, they also are in the top 20 in successful tackles and interceptions despite the fact we're one of the top teams in possession percentage.

Seriously how many fighters do you fucking need? We should easily be able to play:

Martinez Lukaku

Perišić Eriksen Barella Hakimi

Brozović

Bastoni de Vrij Škriniar

Handanovic

With Eriksen, Perišić and Lautaro on the left side maybe that side won't suck so much anymore in attack, but then again Conte is a fucking retard so who knows if he can make it work.

Also as I've been saying for more than 2 years now we should had (and we still should) bought
Locatelli, he's killing it right now. Him and Barella together would be a sight to see.
