If I was a lille fan, i would be extremely pissed. But I do think, that players are professionals and Lille players threatening to walk out was immature.
I remember 2 years ago, when Veron did a similar thing against Bratislava (or Anderletch?) he was given a yellow for that!!, his second of the match. Fifa should implement a standard rule for this , and not let the referee's do what ever they feel like doing. Kudos to Lille for playing a great game though. What Giggs did was extremely cheap, but I guess players will always use cheap tricks to win games, be it diving, play acting or what not.

hehe As you might know he was actually very good while playing for Parma. Perhaps he is turning into those strikers who arent made to cut it in a big team where expectations are high and so forth....

Now, as I see ourselves going through this round, I also see Barca making it. However I guess last night only confirmed what many came to believe as the season went by that this years Barca for various reasons isn’t the same force as we witnessed last year. That said and despite Benitez being an expert in cup competitions Barca is a class better than their opponents. So even if they play 80% of their potential on the night they should be through! Oh also as usual and although things aren’t looking too good I’m hoping for an all exit for EPL teams.

Yesterday I had a chance to watch Barca's game and one of those who should be criticized is Rijkard. System that works (not perfectly but it works) in Primera Division can't bring you success also in every CL game, especially against a Liverpool with Steven Gerrard and others.

Substitutions:

Iniesta for Motta - OK, why not
Giuly for Xavi - well, after this one it looked like 4-1-5 (5 offensive players). Defenceman got a ball, played a long pass to one of his 5 teammates who missed his chance and L'pool had no problem to strike - they had no opponent in midfield.

Zambrotta - idiot, 2nd class player and most overrated piece of sh.t in a world of football. Puyol was blocking opponent's attackers (successfully) and that fool came and made a foul from behind (many times).

Anyway, I am still optimistic that both, Inter and Barca will make it to quarter-finals.

Barca can make it, but only if they can get Eto'o back in and have the rest of their team concentrate on gameplay. Currently, their attack is completely toothless. Their only reliable attacker is Ronaldinho, who's technically not a striker. Their central striker position has been ruined by off the field problems with Eto'o (who's out of fitness) and Saviola (who hasn't had a real season yet).
