Anyways part II, just curious, anyone know if we can draw an Italian side in the next round? The rules have changed so much in the past few years I don't know which is which anymore.

The rules are on official site(page 9). It's a pdf file so since I'm not so familiar with computer stuff I can't copy/paste it here and I'm not willing to type it either.

Oh by the way, fantastic finish by Shevchenko for his goal.
One word. Clinical!
I wonder if Drogba got hurt in that game. He suffered a serious knock. Analogic to the one Gudicini and Cech had in one game.

We can see in 1/8, Lyon, Celtic/ManU, Porto/Arsenal, Liverpool, Valencia and Chelsea. friday 15 we will know.
Add Benfica to Group F possible winners(if Benfica and Kopenhagen win tonight) as Cafe Cordoba did in another thread.

No..you can't draw any italian team. But in current form, I would say Inter can beat anyone. I hope you don't get Chelsea, but otherwise even Lyon shouldn't be a problem. They have Carew as striker and Houillier as manager and Houillier is a notorious choker and what Carew can do with a ball, Zlatan can do with an orange, so..
Might be just me but Inter are notorius chockers too;)

Uefa.com player profile says 21. I've read like he's been a transfer prospect for big clubs all the time the window is open.

Half Time: Celtic is trailing 2-0, ManUtd vs Benfica is 1-1, and Arsenal vs Porto is 0-0. If current scores stand, ManUtd and Arsenal will qualify as 1st...which means we might face them in last 16.

No mate, we can't play agains team from same group or Italians so here are posiblle oponents:
Chelsea, Liverpool, Valencia, Lyon, Manchester United and Arsenal.

I don't want Spanish team, I still remember how Barca destroyed us couple years before and Villareall last year, with Cuper we passed Valencia but that was hard to watch too.

Hmm, chances of drawing an English opponent are rather high. I'm sure our brothers and sisters in Engerland would be happy if we drew Chelsea or Arsenal. ;)

I look at that list and there's two names that I don't wanna see drawn with Inter: Lyon and Man Utd. Both teams are extremely athletic and are quicker than Mike when he's running from the cops. I think we'd get torched by either side tbh.

My preference would be Liverpool. They're not weak but they don't really stand out either. Plus they're horrible away from Anfield. I'm sure they'd receive a heroes welcome at the Meazza for what they did against our cugini 2 seasons ago though. :p Speaking of which:

Milan - 0
Lille - 2

Well i think Liverpool and Valencia are the weakest opponents we could get. I mean they re not bad teams at all but they re both quite inconsistent, so thats why i think they would be the weakest to face.
I realy dont want to face Lyon coz they re playing great and very fast.

I d love to face chelski it might be very hard to beat them but if we do so we ll finally have the respect of the whole footbal world

Inter-Valencia is what I think. Or one of the English teams...

Chelsea-Lille...

Barcelona-Milan

I want a tough draw this year:)

I watched that disaster of match Porto-Arsenal..Quaresma struck the post twice for Porto, but in the final 10 minutes it was funny to watch how both teams haven't had any goal aspirations whatsoever..However, CSKA failed to win in Hamburg so it didn't matter anyway..

As for the Milan, we were already qualified and that's all what matters..This lost doesn't hurt, I'm only sorry for the AEK and their fans..:| PSV and Celtic are the teams I would like to play against in 1/8, Barca is certainly the one I would like to avoid..

Inter, well Chelsea would be a nice draw, Sheva would surely like it.. ;)

I agree with you. Would be nice to get a tough draw this time. The last couple of years it seems we have been quite lucky with our opponents and our players have appeared less motivated. If they draw man u or chelsea they would surely be motivated to do well, and even if they lost it would be acceptable. If we then beat man u or chelsea, confidence would be at an all time high, and our chances of winning the CL would increase.

:zidane:

Anyway, I wouldn't take Valencia unless they won't have Villa when we face them. I don't like it. First match at home, the second in Spain. And their best player is David Villareal. :wth:

Liverpool, they don't know how to win and they choke alot.

Man Utd, I don't highly rate them. crappy players like Ronny won't make it against us. The fear comes from legends like PS and RG. Otherwise, Crespo will be happy to score again, in the Milano, and in Manchester. :D

O.Lyonnais, best team in Europe in the last two seasons.

Arsenal, boring game.

Chelsea, it would be an Mrnh Vs Mcn battle. Our players are better, but their coach is something else..

The problem might just lay there. I mean overpressure is the most common thing for chocking IMO. Both euroderbys and Villareal aren't really games in where Inter gave choice to play as good as they can. It was a must.win pressure in all of those and that could have been vital. The 2003/2004 Group stage is another story. However the last round with Kyev has the similarity as a must-win situation. It was something exactly opposite to this years Group stage.

I wonder how you got through this year since it was a must-win situation now aswell. Hmm...guess my theory isn't flawless or Inter has changed.

About the draw I'm rooting for Chelsea to take you too. That way your Daddy comes home:drool:

I have a strong feeling we will draw arsenal. Personally though, I would Inter to draw either Valencia or 'Pool.
