1st goal was offside, 2nd one was legit.
Still, tomorrow the only thing we'll hear was the 1st one though ;)

I initially thought Maniche would be in for Cruz, but Ibra instead. Why, does anyone know? Is it coz Mancini doesn't want Ibra to get carded?

Some of the calls Ibra got against him tonight were ridiculous, especially the one just before he got subbed. But what else is new..

Anyways, even though we had once again a really poor first half it was better then in the previous matches because we dominated more in the sense that we kept possession better, passed the ball better and were better in defence. But since we played for better part of the last matches with ten men that's not really an indication of progress.

Second half started in the same way as the first, but we gradually got into it more and managed to involve Ibra in our build up. Therefore we started creating chances and went 2-0 in the space of three minutes. Suazo who came on at about the same time did a great job. Scored a nice goal and whether he was on the run or had the ball at his feet he was always a danger. We looked that much more lively with him on.

Solid defence, brick midfield, lonely struggling strikers. But atleast we dominated. IMO an improvement from the last matches, which isn't saying much.

It's gonna be fun reading the papers tomorrow. :D The thing is in any league offside goals like that get scored a couple of times every season because they're so difficult to call. It's all coincidence. If this continues for let's say one third of Juve's "reign" which would be five years then I'll start getting suspicous. Untill then all the haters can suck dick.

Forza Inter! Nr 1 in Italia, and the only team in Milano.

Peace.

Screw this, really.

So now they're making mistakes in our favour? where were they in the past 98 years?

First goal was offside but doesnt really matter,we got a second goal which was perfectly legit(great goal suazo) and we had other chances to win the match so whatever, great match by us,we did what we had to do in a tactically closed boring match.

The media will still rip into us for the "undeserved victory". While I wouldn't go that far (Catania really didn't create anything) it was another uninspiring performance for our team. And the injuries continue to pile up. Who will we even have left against Liverpool? Maicon has been ruled out of the 1st leg, Figo probably won't be ready and now Jimenez is injured.

I'm getting tired of losing key players before an important CL tie. Last year it was Vieira and Cuchu and this year, it's half our midfield.

The 3 things positive in this game, were
- result
- matrix getting back more and more, to his best
- the hint of playing with the 3 upfront if you're about to chase the world record, in the number of long balls made in one game

I'm tired. I have to get a break, from this complaints, or at least pray that the team won't give ma a reason to, as it is now.
Another positive apect of the game was that we actually played 11 v 11 for the entire game without getting anyone sent off! ;)

Good move by Mancini to bring on a 3rd striker as it totally changed the pattern of the game. Nothing spectacular tonight as we did what we had to do. However 3 points like tonight wins you championships - so well done to the guys.
Obviously the 1st goal was a touch offside but not an easy one to call from the linesman perspective – anyway Ibra’s goal was wrongly disallowed in the Udinese game so we are now even!

Anyway tonight we got a clear indication how much we miss our current injured players. Worst case scenario we may be without the likes of Maicon, Deki and Figo and now possibly Jimenez for the 1st leg!!

was impossible to call that first one offside, did you see the 'ania defender on the bottom right, he was in motion and when the ball crossed the line it made cambiass look like he wasnt even close.

its not jsut us getting favourable decisions, look at gila's vs udinese.that was worse. so stop having a sook people

This math was so bored, i worried about "football" that inter practice actually is "other" inter, is true that we have a lot of injuries but this night the team show that dont have imagination for create football, anyway the team have 3 points more and thats important the next weeks them gonna have the minds in CL.

Another week with media bullshit ¬¬

This match was beyond boring. I am not a big fan of games with a 6-5 score, but this game sucked the life out of me. Heck, I didn't even feel the usual joy when we scored :wth:

About the goal, just like hal the gal and Ashkan said, it wasn't like it was a very clear offside. There were alot of Inter and Catania players and that defender near Suazo with his back to the goal made it seem like he was playing him in.

There is a big difference between these goals we get in our favour and those CLEAR offsides that Mr. Inzaghi and TresGay/Dop Piero used to get regularly. Besides, our PK's aren't a result of Mr. Inzaghi and Zambrotta etc. dives but results of handballs that are difficult not to call. So sleep well people.

Great game by Materazzi and Cordoba, and Burdisso seemed to wake up after another lackluster first half, even JZ seemed to wake up late.

Finally, I am really afraid that Zlatan is worn and burned out. We do this with our strikers always, we suck the life out of them early and leave them dry towards the end. He isn't a playmaker and he can't perform magic with ridiculous long balls, specially with 3 players on his balls.

If it's too late for this season, we will be fools not to get some creativity in our midfield for next season.

Still, all these controversies that are happening lately are being used against us and it pisses me off.

We can't even back ourselves up because our performances haven't been convincing, so we're getting a double anal and then facial on top of it.

Good win for our boys. I felt we totally deserved and on the cambiasso goal the rule actually says when it's that tight the advantage should go to the attacking side. I know usually refs screw up and give the advantage to the defensive side but just looking at the rule book the ref is right to give the goal.

:D Stefan man, that was an offside goal, it wasnt that tight.

Atleast I know the difference b/t Inter and Pre-Calciopoli Bilan and Jube. None of our players have dived in the area purposefully, thinking that ref are with us, so why not grab a completely undeserved penalty. Its not our fault, that linesman or ref, are finding it difficult to spot the offsides or hand balls. I can proudly say, that none of our players are acting like, Inzaghi, Delpiero, Trez-a-gay, and diving for fun in the penalty area.
I honestly have stopped giving a crap, what Tutto sports, or Jube fans have to say about this.

The first goal was definitely offside, and it practically changed flow of the game. Catania was happy defending for the draw before the goal was scored. And after the goal, Catania started playing more openly, which resulted in the second goal. The media and everyone else will still be on our a$$es. For those who didn't feel any shred of joy when Cambiasso scored, count me in.

Overall, we didn't play very well, IMO. Catania defended well and didn't give Ibra nor Cruz any space. I thought our midfield could have done better in providing for our forwards.

But seriously, the ref definitely has something against Ibra. Everything he did was a foul, he got the ball, whistle goes, Ibra heads the ball, whistle goes. The Catanian defenders were practically falling over their own feet beside Ibra. God, the Catanian defenders could punch themselves in the face and fall down and the ref would have sent Ibra off.

Catania won't the result overturned. They claim since matrix didn't play in the italy game he isn't allowed to play in this game. Claiming some fifa rule exist. Problem for them is it was Italy's medical staff which ruled him out of the international. He did go to the camp.
