Where exactly do you think a 15m player could improve our starting 11 may I ask?

Your not finding a 15m player that will actually be able to take the spot from Darmian, Acerbi, Bastoni, Dimarco, Barella, Hakan, Mkhitaryan/Frattesi, Martinez.

Our weak spot is the second attacker, right wingback, and Goal but a 15m player simply ain’t going to be an upgrade over Sommer, Cuadrado/Dumfries or Thuram/Arnautovic at the very best it’ll be a sideways step or a gamble with biggest chance of going to be a failure because that’s usually what you get in that price today especially at those positions.
What on gods green earth are you talking about? Where did i write anything about a 15m€ starting player?

A 15m€ backup is a luxury for Inter. A cheaper player or a loan could mean there would be more funds for a starting player. No idea how you possibly missunderstand that and translate that to a 15m€ starting player.

Logic 101, cheaper subs -> more money added to the budget for starters.

Rotation wingbacks are crucial to our system. Wingbacks are subbed out in almost every game so we need a proper guy to the bench since he's gonna play in almost every game. Mostly starting from the bench, but also starting time to time.

I can see Augusto even competing fair and square for a starting spot.

The point is that 15m is a pretty big fee for Inter, and considering Dimarco isnt injury prone and can play alot of games a lower profile sub (or a more versatile one) could have a been gotten for a lower fee and the money could have been used to improve the starting 11.

Inter have downgraded their starting 11 quite a bit, exhanging a sub in gosens for another sub changes nothing.
So who would you have gotten to replace gosens? Ansaldi?

WBs in 3-5-2 are physically demanding which is why you would always see gosens substituting for dimarco every single game when he's fit. Gosens was still averaging over 37min a game last season so it's not like he wasn't needed. Talking about versatility, he can play as LCB too.

37 mins average is indeed quite a lot. It's a significant number, unlike 10-15mins from the end. Player playing that kind of minutes need to be worthy of those mins.

Haha no you wouldnt, they didnt say anything ridicullous about 15m€ starters completely out of context like you did...

Either way, this team is of full of mediocrity, basically only Lautaro, Barella and Bastoni are above mediocre.

I'd rather have a good starter and a fringe sub, rather than a mediocre starter and a mediocre sub. But perhaps thats just me.,

I don’t know what to expect from this guy, I genuinely can’t think of him from last season at all but the clips are certainly exciting!

He'll give either Bastoni or Dimarco a breather here and there, and be competent at it. I don't understand why Hikonyan would a be against a player that can help a team like that.

Especially since our wingbacks run a looooooooot. I don't want Dimarco to get injured or too fatigued over the season.

People usually underestimate the impact of physical stress on the players performance. Some players might be more resistant to injuries, but fatigue impact their performance as well. Our starting players should get more rest this season if we don't want to witness the same dip in form that we have witneased last season. That's why I want more depth in defence, midfield and forward.

The worst thing about our squad was the severe lack of quality on the bench, which meant that when our starters were gassed up, we brought shitters on and we lost all the momentum we gained in the match.

With Conte on the bench we probably had the most quality on the bench in a while. God knows when we'll get to that level again. I'll keep repeating, if only we had another Sensi/Sanchez type and another Hakimi, I would be a lot more optimistic about us being competitive everywhere.

Carlos Augusto, Frattesi/Mkhi, Arnautović, Cuadrado is okay, but 3 of these 5 players won't be here for long. It's clear we still have a lot of work to do to fill up this squad, I just wish we would give our kids more chances. Have a Mulattieri as a fourth striker. It's going to be easier to buy quality players in other positions if we give kids a chance here and there.

Conte had the fortune of coaching before everything came tumbling down and when Zhang could actually do something, so it’s frankly not surprising he had that sort of luxury.

The return to that state requires a new owner who will clean up, sort out the finances, improve income etc. so the club can actually afford to purchase players of decent quality and pay a wage that would make them actually want to go here.

It’s incredibly difficult to improve anything with the sort of budget and restraint on prices that currently can be paid on a single player. So it’s really not all that surprising the dept lacks quality and some of the starters leave something to be desired.

With our current issues I just don’t see how the club can find a new Hakimi or even a new good enough attacker. We had those when Conte where here because there where actually fonds to spend. Talent like Hakimi is just never going to come for cheap. We need to be able to spend those 40-70m on a starter and 30ish on a sub before we can remotely return to that, or it’s the risky development players, older past peak experienced, player with one year left on contract, player with injury records and bosman that we are currently dealing with.

With the entrance of Saudi Arabia on the global scene it makes it even harder.

But yes completely skimming on quality of subs is also not exactly the way forward either, as that’s going to have some serious consequences on performance whenever they need to play.

I didn`t know this guy. Anyway I didn`t watch Monza last year (even our games against them).
But I liked what I saw. Barely here for a few days and already seems to integrate very well.

As someone posted, I dream of a CB line of Augusto- Bastoni- Pavard. Would be luxus to have 3 CB comfortable with the ball on their feet, able to build-up from deep. Counting also the sweet, long passes of Bastoni.
