Darn, would love Adriano to finally start scoring again.
But to see Martins scoring and assisting like that...
It more than made up for it. I didn't see the match but his finishing in his first goal looked to be very clinical on his kinda unpreferred right foot. His assist to Vieri just made me fall in love with him more. 1 on 1 with Castelazzi, on a hattrick but he saw his teammate, his friend, his partner in crime in a better position and he squared it.
It's incredible the way we have performed in 2005. Mancini has answered all critics on the pitch and I personally am happy that it looks like he's staying. Not that he's my favourite coach but continuity is needed. If I'm not wrong, we have gained more points in Serie A than anybody ever since the comeback against Juve back at November in San Siro. If we carry this form on to the next season, we would definitely be a serious contender for the Scudetto.
All the remaining matches are easy on paper, bar Sampdoria. But we have to win in Luigi Ferraris to confirm that Inter has truly grown this year from an immature team who just can't stop conceding goals to one who is finally able to enjoy runs of consecutive victories. But first, we have a clash against Cagliari for a place in the Coppa Italia final and this win will surely boost our morale!
PS: A report on Adriano's performance will be absolutely grand.
