Well Im from Northern Ireland - so the best player for me is George Best. A superb player who played for Manchester United and for Northern Ireland. Probably the most gifted winger in the world ever.

Boban was more than just a player. he kicked once a serb cop, because he was beating dinamo fans or something. Whether prosinecki was the better player or not, Boban was incredible in terms of attitude.

most croats I know also dig him more..

the best player in my country Kosovo ... was Fadil Vokrri ... he played for Yougoslavia ... and scored 10 goals in 11 matches i think ... then he wasnt able to play for them because he was albanian and serbs didnt accept it ... he played for Partizan Belgrade , Galatasaray ... he is remembered for the goal he scored against Tottenham from 40m ... also a street in Istanbul is called by his name ... any turkian or serb can prove my words ...

Hmm, interesting. I pretty much saw all of them play, except for Khatib.

If you go by talent, Hossam Hassan is the best, but his character was really crap (sorry if he is your favourite player.) I remember him and his twin brother causing so many problems, specially if they lose.

So, although I didn't see him play but saw many of his games afterwards, I'd say Khatib is the best. And he was so down to earth and humble, I remember him not running towards the glamour (I don't know about now.)

Shobeir is a second then Taher is third for me.
