I was thinking he's the French defender with the best season so far. Maybe Konate is a bit challenging ? But Disasi, Upamecano, Kounde, Hernandez ... he's better this season.

It's nice to have another winner at the club, he has dealt with the pressure of winning, dude has a World Cup, a CL and was a German champion 4 times. Having a player like that helps in bringing the winning mentality.

And the best part, he is still only 27. We will probably watch him play for us for the next 8 seasons. Worth every cent.

Oh, also, he didn't play in the first game against Juventus, so it's going to be interesting to see him play against them.

National teams need more time to gel together and they usually don't have that. That might be the main reason he struggled there with France.

As for that incident, the first blame should go for the one who has the ball. He's the one who should measure the situation before deciding what to do with it and that was on Sommer. It was not like he was under pressure or anything like that. His decision to send the ball like that was miscalculated.
It'd not just that, it was a terrible terrible pass. If you look at it again, it wasn't a straight pass to Pavard, the ball actually curved towards Fio player, it wasn't like the ball got stolen from Pavard.

Many people here believed that Skriniar is unreplaceable as RCB, and Darmian proved them wrong. But, Pavard is another dimension. I want Inzaghi to try him central.
To be fair, we don't sign players like Pavard often. That is, world class players in the primes of their career with hefty transfer fees.

Hope he becomes a pillar for us for years. Perhaps the best defender we’ve had since Zanetti.

To be honest, I watched too much Inter during our banter era. Murillo, Miranda, and Godin (when they joined us) were 'world-class' for me. And Skriniar is actually from Mars. With Parvard, I realize what a world-class and also serial winner does. Effective, and confident, and there is always some art about whatever he does.

Somebody said that getting Pavard would secure a Scudetto run. I'm starting to believe it. He was massive today.

I still think Skriniar's best season for us was 2017/2018 under Spaletti. Great defender but never a natural fit as an RCB - he's much more suited to the central CB role. Works best in a 4-man defence imo. Pavard is a much better fit in this system.

Great game today.

First season Skiriniar remains one of the best CBs I have ever seen tbh. He was simply unbeatable, to the point that he went months without drawing a yellow card. He was also excellent on the ball that many wanted to see him as CDM. Insigne could try all day and still wouldnt get past him once.

It’s a completely different player than the later Skriniar who always struggled against quick and tricky players.

No doubt this is the best performance with Inter jersey. Like I said in the match thread, the guy is so good that I'd go in a war with him.
