Yeah in broad perspective. The details are however completely different.

In this Pavard case, it's the selling club's coach who doesn't want the player to be sold. All the other parties want.

Tuchel probably knows he won't get equivalent player if the replacement is brought in so he's opposing the idea. He doesn't care if the contract runs out next summer, he's interested in this season, not about the future. Bayern brass is then looking at the numbers => let's sell.

Let's see who has the bigger power, Tuchel or the club.

If we would sell noone this summer, I would give 8/10 for this mercato (onana, broz, skriniar&handa free, lukaku,...), but after getting 100m from outgoing transfers, this summer was really badly done by our management. Atleast we got rid of gagliardinho, bbq chef, dreadlocks guy,... other than that, very very bad.
